5. Setup & Installation

5.1 Pre-Installation Check

  1. Ensure your vehicle is turned off and the battery is disconnected before starting installation.
  2. Verify the dimensions of the head unit against your car's dashboard opening (refer to Section 3.2).
  3. Gather all necessary tools for installation (e.g., trim removal tools, screwdrivers).

5.2 General Installation Steps

  1. Carefully remove the original car radio or center console trim.
  2. Connect the provided power cables (Quadlock or ISO connector) to your vehicle's wiring harness.
  3. Connect the CANBus Decoder Box if your vehicle requires it for steering wheel controls or other integrated features.
  4. Connect the GPS Antenna and 4G Antenna to the corresponding ports on the rear of the unit. Position the antennas in a location with clear signal reception (e.g., dashboard, A-pillar).
  5. Connect the external microphone to the unit and route it to a suitable location for hands-free calling.
  6. Connect any rear USB adapter cables and route them to your desired USB access points (e.g., glove compartment, center console).
  7. Connect the Camera Input and Control Cable and RCA AV Connecting Cable as needed for optional cameras or external AV devices.
  8. Carefully slide the Erisin ES6527A unit into the dashboard opening.
  9. Secure the unit using the provided install fittings.
  10. Reassemble the dashboard trim.
  11. Reconnect the vehicle battery.

5.4 4G SIM Card Installation

To use the built-in 4G internet functionality, you need to insert a data Micro SIM card (not included) into the designated slot. The 4G SIM Card Slot connecting cable is included in the accessories.

  1. Locate the 4G SIM Card Slot connecting cable.
  2. Insert your Micro-SIM (3FF) card into the adapter.
  3. Connect the adapter to the 4G SIM Card Slot.

5.5 Optional Accessories Installation

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Main Menu Navigation

Upon startup, the unit will display the main Android interface. You can navigate through applications by swiping left/right or tapping on icons. The status bar at the top provides quick access to music, radio, Bluetooth, clock, and date.

6.2 GPS Navigation

The unit comes with built-in GPS and supports offline navigation. Pre-installed maps are ready to use. You can also use online navigation apps like Google Maps when connected to the internet.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound / Current Noise: If you experience no sound or current noise, especially in Audi vehicles, it may be due to voltage level differences. Consider purchasing and installing a High to Low Impedance Converter (model TT79-L) to resolve this issue.
