4. Setup
4.1. Installation
The remote controllers feature a strong magnetic base for easy attachment to metallic surfaces. For wall mounting, use the provided magnetic holder:
- Remove the protective sticker from the back of the magnetic holder.
- Stick the holder firmly onto a clean, dry wall surface.
- Place the remote controller onto the magnetic holder.

4.2. Linking and Unlinking with Lighting Products
Before using the remote, it must be linked to your MiBoxer/Mi-Light 2.4G series lighting product. Ensure the lighting product is powered off before starting the linking process.
Linking Procedure:
- Turn off the power to the light for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Within 3 seconds of turning on the light, short press the "ON" button on the remote 3 times.
- If successful, the light will flash 3 times slowly.
Attention: If linking fails (light does not flash), please repeat the above steps. A remote cannot be linked again if it has already been successfully linked to a light.

Unlinking Procedure:
- Turn off the power to the light for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Within 3 seconds of turning on the light, short press the "ON" button on the remote 5 times.
- If successful, the light will flash 10 times quickly.
Attention: If unlinking fails (light does not flash), please repeat the above steps. There is no need to unlink if the light has never been linked.

6. Maintenance
6.1. General Care
- Do not use the remote controller in high humidity or high-temperature environments.
- If the remote is not used frequently, remove the battery to prevent leakage and store it in a dry, static-electricity-free area.
- Avoid using the remote near large metal objects or strong magnetic fields, as this can affect the signal and reduce the control distance.
- Clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
7. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding: Check if the battery is inserted correctly and has sufficient power. Replace the battery if necessary.
- Light not linking/unlinking: Ensure the power cycle (10 seconds off, then on) is performed correctly and the "ON" button presses are within 3 seconds. Repeat the linking/unlinking steps carefully.
- Reduced control distance or intermittent signal: Ensure there are no large metal objects or strong magnetic fields between the remote and the receiver. Replace the battery if the signal strength is consistently weak.
- C4 remote automatically returns to Brightness Mode: This is normal behavior. If no operation is performed for 3 seconds, the C4 remote will default back to Brightness Mode.
8. User Tips
- For optimal performance, ensure a clear line of sight or minimal obstructions between the remote and the lighting product.
- When controlling multiple zones, take a moment to familiarize yourself with which zone button corresponds to which lighting area for seamless control.
- Consider keeping a spare battery on hand to avoid interruptions in control.
