6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your gaming mouse, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Sensor Care: Keep the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse clean and free from dust or debris. Use a cotton swab or compressed air if necessary.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the mouse in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. For best battery health, charge it before it completely runs out.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your mouse, refer to the following common solutions:

7.1 Connection Issues

  • Mouse not responding (Wireless): Ensure the 2.4G receiver is securely plugged into a USB port or that Bluetooth is paired correctly. Check the Mode Switching Key on the bottom of the mouse to confirm the correct mode (2.4G or BT) is selected. Try re-pairing the mouse by holding the Mode Switching Key for 3 seconds.
  • Intermittent connection: Ensure there are no strong interference sources (e.g., other wireless devices) nearby. Try moving the receiver closer to the mouse or using a different USB port.
  • Mouse not responding (Wired): Ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the mouse and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.

7.2 Performance Issues

  • Inaccurate tracking or cursor lag: Clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse. Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface (e.g., a mouse pad). Update the mouse driver software to the latest version.
  • Buttons not responding: Check the driver software for any custom button assignments that might be causing conflicts. Ensure the mouse is fully charged.

7.3 Battery Issues

  • Mouse not charging: Ensure the Type-C cable is properly connected and the power source is functional. Try a different charging cable or USB port.
  • Short battery life: Ensure the mouse is fully charged. Reduce polling rate or turn off any unnecessary lighting (if applicable) to conserve battery.
