5.2 System Diagnosis

This function is specifically designed to diagnose electronic control systems of a single vehicle model.

5.2.1 Smart Diagnosis (Auto-Detect)

After connecting the tool and turning the ignition key on, the system will automatically enter auto-detect mode (ensure “Automatic detection on connect” in “Settings” is ON). For accurate VIN detection, a stable network connection is recommended.

  • If the system successfully obtains the VIN, it will scan vehicle systems and automatically generate a diagnostic report, which will be sent to your bound email address.
  • If VIN information cannot be accessed automatically, you will be prompted to manually input the VIN.

5.2.2 Manual Diagnosis

If auto-detect fails or is not preferred, you can perform diagnosis manually by following on-screen instructions. Ensure the diagnostic program for your vehicle model is installed.

Flowchart for Manual Diagnosis:

  1. Select "Diagnose" from the Job Menu.
  2. Select Vehicle Manufacturer.
  3. Select Test Function (e.g., Read Version Information, Read Fault Code, Clear Fault Code, Read Data Stream).
  4. Select Vehicle Model.
  5. Choose between Automatic (tool scans systems) or Manual Select (you choose desired system).
5.2.2.1 Health Report (Quick Test)

This function quickly accesses all electronic control units (ECUs) and generates a detailed vehicle health report. Tap "Health Report" to start scanning. Systems with fault codes will appear in red, while normal systems will be in black.

On-screen Buttons:

  • [Details Icon]: Tap to display details of DTCs.
  • Enter: Select other test functions.
  • Report: Save diagnostic results as a report.
  • Clear DTC: Clear existing diagnostic trouble codes.
A. Version Information

Displays system mode, vehicle VIN, software, and ECU version information.

B. Read Fault Code

Displays detailed information of DTCs retrieved from the vehicle's control system. Never replace a part based solely on DTC definition; always follow testing procedures in the vehicle's service manual.

On-screen Buttons:

  • Freeze Frame: Records vehicle operating parameters at the time an emission-related fault occurs.
  • Help: View help information.
  • Code Search: Search for more information about the current DTC online.
  • Report: Save current data in text format.
C. Clear Fault Memory

After repairs, use this function to erase DTCs. Ensure ignition is ON with the engine OFF. Clearing DTCs does not fix the problem; proper repairs are essential.

D. Read Data Stream

Retrieves and displays live data and parameters from the vehicle's ECU. Data can be viewed in three modes:

  • Value: Default mode, displays parameters in text list.
  • Graph: Displays parameters in waveform graphs.
  • Combine: Used for graph merge status for data comparison, marking different items with different colors.

On-screen Buttons:

  • Select All/Unselect: Select or deselect all data stream items.
  • OK: Confirm selection and proceed.
  • Report: Save current data as a diagnostic report.
  • Record: Record and save Live Data for troubleshooting.

5.3 OBDII Diagnosis

This option provides quick access to check for DTCs, isolate MIL causes, check monitor status, verify repairs, and perform other emission-related services.

  1. Read Codes: Identifies emission control system malfunctions.
  2. Erase Codes: Clears DTCs after repairs (ignition ON, engine OFF).
  3. I/M Readiness: Indicates if emission components have been evaluated.
  4. Data Stream: Retrieves and displays live data.
  5. View Freeze Frame: Records vehicle conditions when an emission-related fault occurs.
  6. O2 Sensor Test: Displays results of O2 sensor tests (not live values).
  7. On-Board Monitor Test: Reads results of on-board diagnostic monitoring tests.
  8. EVAP System Test: Initiates a leak test for the EVAP system.
  9. Vehicle Info: Displays VIN, CID, and CVN.
  10. Model 0A: Request Emission-Related Diagnostic Trouble Codes with Permanent Status.
