4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • General Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the keyboard.
  • Keycap Cleaning: Use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a mild detergent and water, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Dust Removal: Use compressed air to blow out dust and debris from between the keycaps and switches.

4.2 Switch Replacement

Thanks to the hot-swappable design, individual switches can be replaced easily:

  1. Power off the keyboard or disconnect it from your device.
  2. Use the switch puller tool to carefully grip and pull out the desired switch.
  3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and gently push it in until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
  4. Replace the keycap.

4.3 Battery Care

  • Avoid exposing the keyboard to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
  • Do not allow the battery to fully discharge frequently, as this can reduce its lifespan.
  • If storing the keyboard for an extended period, charge it to about 50-70% before storage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Keyboard Not Connecting/Responding

  • Wired Mode: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
  • 2.4G Wireless Mode: Ensure the 2.4G receiver is properly inserted and the keyboard is switched to 2.4G mode. Check battery level. Try re-pairing (Fn + 2.4G key).
  • Bluetooth Mode: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode. Check battery level. Try re-pairing or switching to a different Bluetooth profile (Fn+1/2/3).
  • All Modes: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Restart your computer.

5.2 Keys Not Responding or Double-Typing

  • Remove the keycap and check for any debris or obstruction around the switch.
  • If the issue persists, the switch might be faulty. Utilize the hot-swappable feature to replace the problematic switch.

5.3 Backlight Issues

  • Ensure the backlight is turned on and brightness is adjusted using Fn key combinations.
  • Check the ATK HUB software for any conflicting settings or to reset lighting profiles.

5.4 Lag or High Latency

  • In 2.4G or Bluetooth mode, ensure there are no strong interfering signals (e.g., other wireless devices, microwaves) nearby.
  • For critical gaming, consider using the wired connection for the most stable and lowest latency performance.
  • Ensure the keyboard's battery is sufficiently charged.
