2. Safety Information

⚠ Warning

To avoid possible safety accidents such as electric shock or personal injury, please observe the following specifications:

  • Before using the instrument, please read this manual carefully, and strictly follow the operation instructions. Failure to do so may damage or weaken the instrument's protection function.
  • Exercise caution when measuring voltages exceeding 60VDC, as this voltage level carries a risk of electric shock.
  • Do not measure voltage higher than the rated value between terminals or between terminals and ground.
  • Always check if the instrument is working properly by measuring a known voltage. Do not use if it appears abnormal or damaged.
  • Before use, inspect the instrument case for cracks or damaged plastic parts. Do not use if any damage is found.
  • Use the instrument according to the measurement category and voltage rating specified in this manual.
  • Observe local safety regulations. Wear personal protective equipment (such as approved rubber gloves, masks, and fire-retardant clothing) to prevent electrical shock and arc injuries when exposed to dangerous live conductors.
  • Replace the battery promptly when the low battery indicator appears to avoid measurement errors.
  • Do not use the instrument in the presence of explosive gas, steam, or in a humid environment.
  • Do not use the meter when the meter is disassembled or the battery cover is open.

⚠ Warning:

  • To avoid incorrect readings that may result in shock or personal injury, replace the battery immediately if it is low.
  • Do not short-circuit or reverse the polarity of the battery to make the battery discharge.
  • For safe operation and maintenance, remove the battery if the instrument will be unused for a long period to prevent leakage and damage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, press the Power key (3) for approximately 2 seconds.
  • The instrument will automatically shut down after about 15 minutes of no operation.
  • To disable auto power off, hold down the Light/Backlight key (6) while turning on the instrument. This will cancel the automatic shutdown function until the next reboot.

5.2. Smart Measurement Mode

This is the default mode upon booting. The instrument automatically recognizes DC voltage, resistance, and continuity signals.

  1. After powering on, the instrument display will show "---" indicating it's ready for intelligent measurement.
  2. Touch the positive probe (1) to the power supply or the component to be measured (with the negative clamp (7) connected to ground or the other end of the component). The meter will automatically recognize the signal.
  3. If measuring resistance and the value is less than 50Ω, a buzzer will sound.
  4. Read the measurement results from the LCD screen (4).

Note: The minimum discernible voltage in this mode is 0.8V.
