Setup
- Initial Winding: As an automatic mechanical watch, it requires initial winding if it has stopped. Gently rotate the crown clockwise about 30-40 times while it is in the normal (pushed-in) position. This builds up the power reserve.
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the furthest position (usually the second click). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the first click. Rotate the crown (usually counter-clockwise) to set the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this is when the date change mechanism is engaged and could cause damage. If the current time falls within this window, set the time outside of it first, then adjust the date, and finally set the correct time. Push the crown back in when finished.

Operating Your Watch
- Automatic Movement: Your BENYAR BY-5211 watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. This means it winds itself through the natural motion of your wrist. When worn daily for at least 8-10 hours, it should maintain its power reserve.
- Power Reserve: If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop. Simply re-wind it manually (as described in "Initial Winding") or wear it for a few hours to restart the movement.
- Luminous Dial: The dial features luminescent markers and hands, allowing for easy readability in low-light conditions. Exposure to light will charge the luminous material.
- Water Resistance (50m/5 Bar): This watch is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering. It is NOT suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Water Resistance Care: After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry thoroughly. Avoid operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Protect your watch from extreme temperatures, strong magnetic fields, and harsh chemicals (e.g., solvents, detergents).
- Servicing: Mechanical watches benefit from periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Troubleshooting
- Watch has stopped:
- If the watch has not been worn for a while, manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times.
- Ensure the watch is worn regularly (8-10 hours daily) for the automatic movement to maintain its power reserve.
- Date not changing correctly:
- Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM. If you need to adjust the date during this period, first set the time outside this window, adjust the date, then reset the correct time.
- Condensation under the crystal:
- This may indicate a breach in water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a qualified watchmaker for inspection and repair to prevent further damage to the movement.
User Tips
- Consistent Wear: For optimal performance of the automatic movement, wear your watch consistently. If you rotate watches, consider a watch winder to keep it running and accurate.
- Bracelet Adjustment: The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by removing links. This is best done by a professional watchmaker to avoid scratching the bracelet or damaging the pins.
- Time Zone Changes: When traveling across time zones, adjust the time by pulling the crown to the furthest position and rotating the hands. This is generally safer than using the quick-set date function if you are unsure of the watch's internal time cycle.
