5.5 Hardwire Kit Installation (for 24-Hour Parking Mode)
To enable 24-Hour Parking Mode, the dash cam must be hardwired to your vehicle's fuse box. This process requires basic automotive electrical knowledge. If you are unsure, please consult a professional.
- Identify a constant power fuse (B+), an accessory power fuse (ACC), and a ground point (GND) in your vehicle's fuse box.
- Connect the red wire of the hardwire kit to the constant power fuse (B+).
- Connect the yellow wire of the hardwire kit to the accessory power fuse (ACC).
- Connect the black wire of the hardwire kit to a metal ground point on the vehicle chassis.
- Plug the hardwire kit's output into the dash cam's power input.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: The dash cam will automatically power on and start recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on (if connected to the car charger). Press and hold the Power button to manually turn it on or off.
- Recording: Once powered on, the dash cam automatically begins loop recording. A red indicator light or icon on the screen usually indicates recording is active.
- Menu Navigation: Use the 'M' button to enter the menu. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to navigate through options, and 'OK' to select.
6.2 Key Features
- Dual Recording (X23 Pro): Simultaneously records from both front (4K) and rear (1080P) cameras, providing comprehensive coverage. The X23 model records 1080P from the front camera only.
- Loop Recording: The dash cam continuously records, overwriting the oldest unlocked video files when the Micro SD card is full. This ensures uninterrupted recording.
- G-Sensor (Emergency Lock): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-Sensor automatically detects the event and locks the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.
- Night Vision: Enhanced low-light performance ensures clear video recordings even in challenging night-time conditions.
- Wide Dynamic Range (WDR): This technology helps the camera capture balanced exposure in scenes with both very bright and very dark areas, resulting in clearer video.
- 24-Hour Parking Mode: When hardwired, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle 24/7. If it detects an impact while parked, it will automatically begin recording. (Note: Requires hardwiring to the fuse box).

6.3 Wi-Fi Connectivity and App
The IMars Dash Cam features built-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to connect your smartphone via a dedicated app (available for Android and iOS). This app enables you to:
- View live footage from the dash cam.
- Play back recorded videos.
- Download video files directly to your phone.
- Share videos on social media.
Refer to the user manual for specific app names and connection instructions.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lenses and screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Micro SD Card: Regularly format your Micro SD card (monthly is recommended) through the dash cam's menu settings to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
8. Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam not powering on: Check the power connection. Ensure the car charger is properly inserted into the cigarette lighter socket and the dash cam. Test the car charger in another vehicle or with another device if possible.
- Dash Cam not recording: Ensure a Micro SD card is inserted and properly formatted. Check if the card is full (if loop recording is off or locked files fill the card). Try formatting the card.
- Video footage is blurry or unclear: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lenses. Check the mounting position for stability.
- G-Sensor is too sensitive/not sensitive enough: Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity setting in the dash cam's menu.
- Parking Mode not working: Ensure the dash cam is properly hardwired to the vehicle's fuse box (ACC and B+ connections are crucial). Check parking mode settings in the menu.
- Wi-Fi connection issues: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam and your smartphone. Restart both devices. Verify you are using the correct app and following its connection instructions.
