4. Operating Instructions
Initial Setup and DVR Mode:
- After installation, ensure your ATOTO X10 series head unit is set to DVR Mode to enable full DVR functionality.
- Confirm that the camera is powered on and properly aligned for optimal recording.
Recording Features:
- Real-time Recording: The camera captures FHD 1080P video footage of the road ahead.
- Loop Recording: The system supports continuous recording, overwriting the oldest footage when the memory card is full.
- G-Sensor Activation: In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically detect the event and lock the corresponding video footage to prevent it from being overwritten.
- Outage-Proof Functionality: The camera is designed to automatically save current recording footage even during unexpected power outages, ensuring critical moments are not lost.
- Parking Surveillance: When enabled, the camera provides 24/7 monitoring. It automatically activates, captures, and locks a 30-second video clip if an event is detected while parked.

Viewing and Playback:
- View the front driving scene in real-time directly on your ATOTO X10 series head unit.
- Playback recorded footage through the head unit interface.
- GPS Track Playback: If your head unit supports it, you can see exactly where every moment happened during playback.
Memory Storage:
The ATOTO X10 Series Car Stereo supports up to a 256GB memory card or a 2TB external hard drive for video storage (USB1 Recording Storage). This allows for long-term recording storage. (Memory card and hard drive are sold separately).
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recording. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: ATOTO provides lifetime free firmware and software updates. Regularly check for updates through your ATOTO X10 head unit or the official ATOTO website to ensure optimal performance and new features.
- Memory Management: Periodically review and manage stored footage. While loop recording handles overwriting, ensure important locked files are backed up if needed.
- Cable Integrity: Periodically check the connection cables for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure they remain securely connected to the head unit.
6. Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Recording:
- Ensure the camera is properly connected to the DVR camera input port on your ATOTO X10 head unit.
- Verify that the head unit is set to DVR Mode.
- Check if the camera is powered on and correctly aligned.
- Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly and has sufficient free space.
- Poor Video Quality:
- Clean the camera lens to remove any dirt or smudges.
- Ensure the camera is firmly attached and not vibrating.
- Check for strong light sources directly in front of the camera; WDR and strong light suppression should help, but extreme conditions can affect quality.
- G-Sensor Not Activating:
- Check the G-sensor sensitivity settings on your ATOTO X10 head unit. Adjust if necessary.
- Footage Not Saving During Power Outage:
- Ensure the camera's power connection is stable. If the power is completely cut instantly, there might be a very brief moment where the last few milliseconds are not saved, but the outage-proof feature is designed to minimize this.
