2. Important Safety Information

Before using your Lefant M1, please read and follow all safety instructions to prevent accidents, electric shock, injury, or damage. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Ensure the power adapter is compatible with your local voltage.
  • Do not use the robot in wet environments or near water.
  • Do not allow the robot to pick up large objects, liquids, or burning/smoking materials.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Unplug the charging station when not in use for long periods or before cleaning.

5. Setup Guide

5.1 Charging Station Placement

  • Place the charging station against a wall in an open area.
  • Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides of the charging station and 1.5 meters (5 feet) in front of it.
  • Keep the area free from obstacles, such as furniture or power cords, that could block the robot's path.
  • Connect the adapter to the charging station and plug it into a power outlet.

5.2 Initial Charging

  • Place the robot vacuum onto the charging station. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the station.
  • The robot will begin charging automatically. Allow it to fully charge before its first use (approximately 4-5 hours).
  • A fully charged battery ensures optimal performance and mapping accuracy.

5.3 App Connection & Mapping

  1. Download the "Lefant" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and add your Lefant M1 robot.
  3. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz, as the robot only supports this frequency.
  4. During the first cleaning cycle, the robot will use its LDS Lidar Navigation to create a map of your home. Ensure all doors are open and obstacles are minimized for accurate mapping.
  5. Once the map is created, you can use the app to customize cleaning preferences.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting/Pausing/Stopping Cleaning

  • Start: Press the power button on the robot or use the "Start Cleaning" option in the Lefant app.
  • Pause: Press the power button once during cleaning or use the "Pause" option in the app.
  • Stop: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds or use the "Stop" option in the app.

6.2 Cleaning Modes

The Lefant M1 offers various cleaning modes to suit your needs, all controllable via the Lefant app.

  • Regular Cleaning: The robot cleans the entire mapped area systematically.
  • Zigzag Cleaning Mode: A systematic back-and-forth pattern for thorough coverage.
  • Spot Cleaning: Directs the robot to intensively clean a specific small area.
  • Zone Cleaning: Select a specific room or area on the app's map for the robot to clean.

6.3 Suction Power & Water Volume Adjustment

  • Use the Lefant app to adjust the suction power (3 adjustable modes) and water volume (Low, Middle, High) according to your cleaning needs and floor type.
  • The robot features a Carpet Boost mode, intelligently identifying carpets and increasing suction power automatically.

6.4 No-Go Zones & Virtual Walls

  • Through the Lefant app, you can define virtual restricted areas or "No-Go Zones" on the map. The robot will avoid these areas during cleaning.

6.5 Voice Control

  • The Lefant M1 is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
  • Connect your robot to your smart home assistant via the respective app.
  • You can use voice commands such as "Alexa, start cleaning with M1" or "Hey Google, tell M1 to go home."
  • To locate the robot, you can say, "Alexa, activate search on M1" or use the app.

6.6 Automatic Recharge and Resume

  • When the battery is low, the M1 will automatically return to its charging station.
  • After recharging, it will resume cleaning from where it left off to complete the entire cleaning task.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures your Lefant M1 operates efficiently and extends its lifespan. Always turn off the robot and unplug the charging station before performing any maintenance.

7.1 Dust Box and Filters

  • Emptying: Press the release button to remove the 2-in-1 dust box/water tank. Open the dust box and empty its contents after each cleaning cycle.
  • Cleaning: Rinse the dust box with water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
  • Filter Maintenance: Tap the filters to remove dust. Rinse with water if necessary, but ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation. Replace filters every 3-6 months, or as needed.

7.2 Water Tank and Mopping Pad

  • Filling: Open the water tank cap and fill with clean water. Do not use cleaning solutions that are not approved for robot vacuums.
  • Cleaning: After mopping, remove the mopping pad plate and detach the cleaning cloth. Wash the cloth and allow it to air dry.
  • Disposal Cleaning Cloths: Use and dispose of as needed.

7.3 Main Brush and Side Brushes

  • Main Brush: Remove the main brush cover and lift out the brush. Use the cleaning tool (if provided) to remove hair and debris. Reinstall securely.
  • Side Brushes: Regularly check side brushes for wear and tear. Remove any tangled hair or debris. Replace worn brushes to maintain cleaning effectiveness.

7.4 Sensors and Charging Contacts

  • Wipe all sensors (Lidar, anti-collision, anti-fall) and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging station with a clean, dry cloth. This ensures proper navigation and charging.
