5. Setup

- Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has a peephole with a diameter of 26mm. The door thickness should be between 40mm and 80mm.
- Remove Existing Peephole: Carefully remove any existing peephole from your door.
- Insert the Camera: Insert the camera unit into the peephole from the outside of the door.
- Secure the Inner Unit: From the inside, attach the threaded inner unit and tighten it until the camera is securely in place.
- Connect Power: Connect the provided USB cable to the camera and then to the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The camera is designed for 24-hour operation when plugged in.

5.2 App Download
The GENIUSPY Door Eye Hole Camera works with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life applications. Download the app using one of the following methods:
- Scan QR Code: Use your smartphone's camera to scan the QR codes below.
- Search App Store:
- For Android devices, search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in the Google Play Store.
- For iOS devices, search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in the Apple App Store.

5.3 Device Pairing
Once the app is installed and you have registered an account:
- Open the App: Launch the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
- Add Device: Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner of the home screen to add a new device.
- Select Device Type: Navigate to "Security & Sensor" and select "Smart Camera". If not found, you may need to select "Otherwise" for manual setup.
- Power On Device: Ensure the camera is powered on and its indicator light is flashing, indicating it's ready for pairing.
- Choose Pairing Method: Select the "SmartConfig" method (Mobile phone will broadcast the net-pairing information, device will connect the router when it receives the info).
- Enter Wi-Fi Password: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password. (Note: The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks).
- Confirm Connection: Follow the on-screen prompts. The app will show a "Connecting" status and a percentage. Once connected, the device will be found, registered to the smart cloud, and initialized.

- Video Recording: The camera supports 1920x1080P HD video recording at 25 FPS. Recordings can be stored on a TF card (up to 128GB) or via cloud storage.
