4.1 Charging the Camera

Before first use, ensure the camera's 9600mAh battery is fully charged. You can charge it in two ways:

  • Solar Charging: Position the camera so its solar panel receives direct sunlight. With approximately 30 minutes of daily sun exposure, the camera can operate for up to a year without needing external charging.
  • USB-C Charging: For faster charging or during periods of low sunlight, connect the included USB-C cable to the camera's Type-C connector and a 5V2A power adapter. A full charge takes approximately 6 hours.

4.2 Mounting the Camera

To view the camera feed, you need to install the companion app on your smartphone (iPhone or Android):

  1. Download the App: Search for "Joytrip" in the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play (for Android), or scan the QR code provided in the physical instructions.
  2. Solar Charging (Initial Step): Ensure the camera is receiving power, either from solar charging or USB-C.
  3. WiFi Connection:
    • Go to your phone's WiFi settings.
    • Find and connect to the WiFi hotspot that starts with "Auto-..." (e.g., "Car-f05edc").
    • Note: When connected to the camera's WiFi, your mobile network will not be available.
    • If using the device, you may need to turn off the VoLTE function of your mobile phone for optimal performance.
  4. App Display: Open the Joytrip app. The live image from the camera should now be displayed.

5.1 Viewing the Camera Feed

Once connected, the live feed from the camera will appear in the Joytrip app. You can trigger the monitor on with an easy press to view what's behind your car while driving.

  • For optimal performance, especially when using the device, it is recommended to turn off the VoLTE function on your mobile phone.
