4.2 Inserting the Micro SD Card

  1. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the device (refer to Figure 1).
  2. Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is oriented correctly.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in again until it springs out.

4.3 App Installation

To access the camera's features and real-time video, you need to download the "LOOK CAM" application on your smartphone.

  • For iOS devices: Search for "LOOK CAM" in the Apple App Store.
  • For Android devices: Search for "LOOK CAM" in the Google Play Store.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the application.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On the Device

Simply plug the LOOKCAM Multifunctional Charger Camera into a standard wall outlet. The device will power on automatically.

5.2 Connecting to the Camera

There are two primary ways to connect to your camera:

  1. Direct Connection (Camera Hotspot):
    • Ensure your mobile phone is near the camera.
    • Open your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the camera's direct hotspot (usually named something like "LOOKCAM_XXXXXX").
    • Open the "LOOK CAM" app. You should be able to view real-time video directly. This method is for local viewing only.
  2. Remote Connection (Wireless Router & Cloud):
    • Connect the camera to your home or office wireless router via the "LOOK CAM" app settings.
    • Once connected to the router, the camera can upload video to the cloud (if configured) or be accessed remotely through the app.
    • This allows you to view real-time video from anywhere, anytime, provided the camera has an internet connection.

5.3 Video Recording and Storage

The camera automatically records video to the inserted Micro SD card. The recording mode (e.g., continuous, motion-activated) and other settings can be configured within the "LOOK CAM" application.

To view recorded footage, you can either access it through the app (if connected remotely) or remove the Micro SD card and insert it into a computer or card reader.

5.4 Resetting the Device

If you encounter issues or wish to clear all settings, locate the reset button (refer to Figure 1). Use a small pin or paperclip to press and hold the reset button for approximately 5-10 seconds until the indicator light changes or the device restarts. This will typically restore the device to its factory default settings.

5.5 Charging Other Devices

Use the standard USB port (5V 2A output) to charge your mobile phones, tablets, or other USB-powered devices. Simply plug your device's USB cable into the charger's USB port.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the charger is securely plugged into a live wall outlet.
  • Cannot connect to camera hotspot: Ensure your phone is close to the device. Try resetting the camera.
  • Cannot connect to Wi-Fi router: Double-check your Wi-Fi password in the app settings. Ensure the camera is within range of your router. Try resetting the camera and re-configuring the Wi-Fi connection.
  • No video recording: Ensure a Micro SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. Check recording settings in the "LOOK CAM" app.
  • Poor video quality: Ensure the camera lens is clean. Check your network connection speed for remote viewing.
  • App issues: Try restarting the app or your phone. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
