4. Setup Instructions
The ONESPORT OT05 comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the bicycle and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring it is centered and the brake levers and shifters are in a comfortable position. Tighten the stem bolts securely.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads before installation.
- Seat Post Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height to a comfortable riding position. Ensure the seat post is inserted past the minimum insertion line. Secure with the quick-release lever.
- Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel into the front fork dropouts. Ensure the disc rotor is correctly seated within the brake caliper. Secure the wheel with the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
- Fender and Headlight: Attach the front fender and ensure the headlight is securely mounted and connected.
- Initial Battery Charge: Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the charging port on the bike and then to a power outlet. The indicator on the charger will show charging status (usually red for charging, green for full).
- Tire Pressure: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.
- Brake Adjustment: Check both front and rear brakes for proper function. Ensure the brake levers engage smoothly and the brakes provide adequate stopping power. Adjust if necessary.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the display unit for a few seconds. The display will light up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
5.2 Pedal Assist System (PAS)
The ONESPORT OT05 features a torque sensor-based pedal assist system. The motor provides assistance only when you are pedaling.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to cycle through different assist levels (e.g., 0-5).
- Level 0 means no motor assistance. Higher levels provide more motor power.
5.3 Gear Shifting
The bike is equipped with a Shimano 7-speed gear system.
- Use the shifter on the right handlebar to change gears.
- Shift to lower gears for easier pedaling on inclines and higher gears for faster speeds on flat terrain.
- Shift gears smoothly and avoid shifting under heavy load.
5.4 Braking
The ONESPORT OT05 uses hydraulic disc brakes for superior stopping power.
- The left lever controls the rear brake, and the right lever controls the front brake.
- Apply both brakes simultaneously for effective and safe stopping.
- Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, to prevent skidding.
5.5 Display Functions
The multifunction color display provides essential riding information:
- Battery Display: Shows the current charge level of the battery.
- Mileage Display: Tracks your current trip distance or total odometer reading.
- Gear Control: Indicates the current pedal assist level.
- Light Switch: Press the light button to turn the LED headlight and taillight on/off.
