3. Operating with Replacement Parts
Once all replacement parts are correctly installed, your Redkey robotic vacuum is ready for operation. Ensure all covers are securely closed before starting a cleaning cycle. The vacuum will automatically detect the presence of the main brush, side brushes, and dustbin with filter. For mopping functions, ensure the water tank is filled (if applicable) and the mop pad is damp.
4. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance of your replacement parts is crucial for extending their lifespan and ensuring consistent cleaning performance.
4.1 Side Brushes
- Cleaning: Check for tangled hair or debris weekly. Use the provided cleaning tool or scissors to carefully cut and remove any obstructions.
- Replacement: Replace every 3-6 months, or sooner if visibly worn or damaged.
4.2 Main Brush (Hippo)
- Cleaning: Remove the main brush weekly. Use the cleaning tool to remove hair and debris wrapped around the brush and its bearings.
- Replacement: Replace every 6-12 months, or if bristles are severely worn or deformed.
4.3 Mop Pads
- Cleaning: Wash the mop pad after each use. Hand wash with mild detergent and air dry. Do not tumble dry.
- Replacement: Replace every 1-3 months, depending on usage and wear.
4.4 Dust Bags
- Replacement: Replace the dust bag when the vacuum indicates it is full, or when suction power noticeably decreases. Do not attempt to empty and reuse disposable dust bags.
4.5 HEPA Filters
- Cleaning: Tap the filter gently over a trash can to remove loose dust weekly. Do NOT wash HEPA filters with water unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer, as this can damage the filter material.
- Replacement: Replace every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have pets or allergies.

5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues after replacing parts, refer to these common solutions:
- Vacuum not picking up debris: Check if the main brush and side brushes are installed correctly and free of tangles. Ensure the dust bag is not full and the HEPA filter is clean.
- Side brush not spinning: Verify the side brush is securely attached and no hair or debris is obstructing its rotation mechanism.
- Poor mopping performance: Ensure the mop pad is clean and damp, and the water tank (if applicable) is filled. Check for proper attachment of the mop pad.
- Unusual noises: Turn off the vacuum and inspect all brushes for foreign objects or damage. Reinstall parts to ensure they are seated correctly.

- Always keep a spare set of filters and brushes on hand to avoid downtime.
- For homes with pets, consider more frequent cleaning and replacement of main and side brushes due to increased hair accumulation.
- If your vacuum's suction seems weak, the first things to check are the dust bag (is it full?) and the HEPA filter (is it clogged?).
- Ensure mop pads are thoroughly cleaned and dried to prevent mildew and odors.
