6.9. Temperature Unit Switch (°C/°F)

You can switch the temperature display unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) directly on the gateway using the physical button on the back, or through the settings in the Smart Life app.

6.10. Manual Calibration

Both the Wi-Fi Gateway and the 433MHz sensors allow for manual calibration of temperature and humidity values within the Smart Life app settings to ensure accuracy.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Wipe the devices with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7.2. Battery Replacement (433MHz Sensors)

When the battery indicator on the gateway display or in the app shows low battery for a sensor, replace the 2x AAA batteries. To do this, slide off the back cover of the sensor, remove the old batteries, insert new ones with correct polarity, and reattach the cover.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check Wi-Fi signal strength near the gateway. Restart the gateway and try pairing again.
  • Sensors not reporting data: Check sensor batteries. Ensure sensors are within the 100m open area range of the gateway. Re-pair the sensors if necessary.
  • Inaccurate readings: Use the manual calibration feature in the app settings to adjust temperature and humidity values.
  • App notifications not received: Check app notification settings on your phone and within the Smart Life app. Ensure the alarm thresholds are correctly set.

9. User Tips

  • Smart Home Integration: Leverage the Smart Life app's "Smart Scene" feature to automate other smart home devices based on temperature and humidity readings. For example, you can set up rules to turn on a smart fan if the temperature exceeds a certain limit, or activate a smart humidifier/dehumidifier to maintain optimal indoor climate.
  • Optimal Placement: For the most accurate readings, place sensors away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources. Consider placing them in areas critical for comfort or preservation, such as a baby's room, a wine cellar, or a greenhouse.
  • Data Analysis: Regularly export and review historical data to identify trends and make informed decisions about your home's climate control.
