4. Setup Guide

4.1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your Ohayo X3 speaker.

  1. Open the protective flap on the side of the speaker to reveal the charging port.
  2. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the speaker's Type-C port.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V/2A USB power adapter (not included).
  4. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the protective flap to maintain IPX7 waterproof rating.

4.2. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Long press the Power button (Power button icon) for 3 seconds. You will hear an audible prompt "Bluetooth" and the RGB light will illuminate.
  • To Power Off: Long press the Power button for 3 seconds.

4.3. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing blue RGB light.
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Ohayo X3" from the list of devices.
  4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the blue light will become solid or change to a different pattern.

Note: The speaker will automatically try to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

4.4. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

To achieve a more immersive stereo sound experience, you can pair two Ohayo X3 speakers together.

  1. Ensure both Ohayo X3 speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be your primary speaker), double-click the Play/Pause button (Play/Pause button icon). The speaker will enter TWS pairing mode.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. You will hear a confirmation tone once TWS pairing is successful.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 4.3.

5. Operating Instructions

The Ohayo X3 speaker features intuitive controls for easy operation. Refer to the diagram below for button functions:

5.1. Button Functions:

  • Power Button (Power button icon):
    • Long Press (3 seconds): Power On/Off.
  • Play/Pause Button (Play/Pause button icon):
    • Short Press: Play/Pause music, Answer/Hang up calls.
    • Twice Press: Enter TWS Pairing Mode.
  • Volume Up (+) Button:
    • Short Press: Increase volume.
    • Long Press: Next song.
  • Volume Down (-) Button:
    • Short Press: Reduce volume.
    • Long Press: Previous song.
  • EQ Button:
    • Short Press: Change EQ (3D/Extra Bass/Vocal).
    • Long Press: Disconnect Bluetooth.
  • Mode Button:
    • Short Press: Change play mode (Bluetooth/TF Card/AUX/USB).

Note: To turn RGB lights on/off, press the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously.

5.2. Sound Modes (EQ Setting)

The Ohayo X3 offers three distinct sound modes to enhance your listening experience:

  • Extra Bass Mode: Ideal for enhancing music, parties, gaming, and movie moments.
  • Standard Mode (Balance): Provides a balanced audio profile suitable for general listening.
  • Vocal Mode: Makes calls, podcasts, online meetings, and audiobooks clearer and more engaging.

Short press the EQ button to cycle through these modes.

5.3. Hands-Free Calling

With the built-in microphone, you can answer calls directly through the speaker when connected via Bluetooth.

  • Answer/End Call: Short press the Play/Pause button.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause button.

5.4. Other Connectivity Options

The Ohayo X3 supports playback from various sources:

  • TF Card Playback: Insert a TF (MicroSD) card with music files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to TF card mode and begin playback.
  • AUX Input: Connect your device to the speaker using the provided 3.5mm audio cable. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
  • USB Drive Playback: Insert a USB drive with music files into the USB port. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback.

5.5. RGB Colorful Lights

The speaker features dual circular breathing lights that change colors in sync with the music. To toggle the lighting effects on or off, press the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Waterproof Seal: Always ensure the protective rubber flap covering the charging and input ports is securely closed when the speaker is exposed to water to maintain its IPX7 waterproof rating.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting
