8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Why will the Box's Bluetooth disconnect?
The working principle of wireless CarPlay involves Bluetooth pairing for device information confirmation, followed by a Wi-Fi connection for data transmission. To avoid interference, the Bluetooth connection will then disconnect. This is a normal phenomenon.
8.2 I cannot connect CarPlay, but Bluetooth is already paired.
Please forget the device's Bluetooth connection and reset Wi-Fi on your iPhone (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings).
8.3 Why is the wireless CarPlay not stable?
- Ensure that the mounted position of the CarPlay box is not blocked by metal components, as this may impair Wi-Fi signal transmission.
- Switch the Wi-Fi channel: Enter the CarPlay box settings > Factory Mode > Connectivity Settings > Hotspot Band > Select 1, 6, or 11, depending on your current region.
9. User Tips
- Touch Screen Functionality: The module utilizes your car's existing display and controls. Touch control is supported if your vehicle's original screen is touch-enabled. This module does not add touch screen functionality to non-touch displays.
- Verify Car Model Year: Always double-check your exact car model and year against the compatibility tables provided in this manual to ensure proper function. For example, while some XC60 models are supported, a 2014 XC60 may not be compatible as the listed range starts from 2015.
- Wiring Included: All necessary wiring for a plug-and-play, non-destructive installation is included with the module.
