1. Introduction

The DAJA DJ6 Pro is a portable mini high-power CNC cutting and engraving machine designed for a wide range of materials including metal, wood, acrylic, leather, glass, and plastic. It features a dual-laser system with a 455nm blue light laser (5W/10W) for non-metallic materials and a 1064nm infrared laser (1W) for metallic materials, offering versatility for various creative and professional projects.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Initial Assembly

The DJ6 Pro comes largely pre-assembled for quick setup. Follow these steps:

  1. Place the DJ6 Pro unit on a stable, flat surface.
  2. If using the heightening columns for larger objects, attach them to the base of the engraver.
  3. Ensure the laser head is securely installed in its slot. The DJ6 Pro features a replaceable laser head design.

3.2. Connecting to Power and Device

  1. Connect the power supply to the engraver and plug it into a suitable power outlet (110V/220V compatible).
  2. Connect the engraver to your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) using the provided TYPE-C cable for USB connection, or via Bluetooth.

3.3. Software Installation

The DJ6 Pro supports free software for various operating systems:

  • Desktop Software (LightBurn): Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. Install from the provided USB flash drive or download from the official website.
  • Mobile App (DAJA): Available for Android, iOS, and iPads. Download from your device's app store.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Material Preparation and Placement

Before starting, ensure your material is clean and properly secured within the engraving area (100x100mm).

The DJ6 Pro can engrave on a wide variety of materials:

4.1.1. Blue Light Laser (455nm, 5W/10W)

  • Engraving & Cutting: Wood, paper, bamboo.
  • Engraving (requires color paper for best results): Acrylic, glass.
  • Engraving (white needs to be painted black): Fabric.
  • Engraving Only: Food, leather, ceramic, PVC, metallic paint.

4.1.2. Infrared Laser (1064nm, 1W) - Optional, for specific suits

This laser head is specifically designed for engraving metallic materials.

  • Engraving Only: Stainless steel, aluminum oxide, aluminum alloy, aluminum, copper, iron, gold, silver, lacquered metal, other metals.

4.2. Engraving Process

  1. Open the DAJA app or LightBurn software on your connected device.
  2. Import or create your design.
  3. Adjust engraving parameters such as speed and power according to your material and desired effect.
  4. Place the material in the engraving area.
  5. Initiate the engraving process from the software. The machine will begin to carve your design.

4.3. Cutting Process

The 10W blue light laser provides enough power to cut materials directly after engraving. For optimal cutting results, use the provided cutting board.

  • 10W Laser: Can cut up to 8mm wood and 5mm black acrylic in one pass.
  • 5W Laser: Can cut up to 4mm wood.

4.4. Using the Rotation Axis (Optional Accessory)

For engraving cylindrical objects like cups or bottles, attach the rotation axis accessory. This allows for 360° engraving, ensuring perfect results on curved surfaces.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Smoking Machine (Optional Accessory)

To eliminate pungent odors and fumes during the engraving process, connect and use the smoking machine. This accessory helps maintain a clean working environment and improves cutting effects.

5.2. Cooling and Airflow

The DJ6 Pro features built-in airflow regulation and a high cooling module. This promotes air circulation, prevents smoke and dust accumulation, effectively dissipates heat, and extends the service life of the laser to over 5000 hours. Ensure the air vents are not obstructed.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Engraving not starting or machine unresponsive:
    • Check all cable connections (power, USB).
    • Ensure the laser head is correctly installed.
