1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the EKIY MTC-20 Portable Digital Motorcycle Dashboard Navigation Screen. This device is designed to enhance your riding experience by providing seamless integration of Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, along with advanced features like optional DVR and tire pressure monitoring. This manual will guide you through the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new navigation screen.

2. Models and Variants

The EKIY MTC-20 series offers several variants to suit different motorcycle models and feature requirements:

• MTC-20-A: Compatible with BMW motorcycle models featuring an original base. This version is plug-and-play.
• MTC-20-B: Compatible with BMW motorcycle models featuring an original base. This version is plug-and-play and supports the addition of a DVR function.
• MTC-20-B-1250: Specifically designed for BMW R1250 motorcycle models. It is plug-and-play with the original base, supports DVR function, and does not require additional wiring for power (connects directly via the original vehicle's ACC).
• MTC-20-C: Universal compatibility with all motorcycle models. This version includes a BMW original style bracket, supports DVR, and requires connection to the power supply ACC.

5. Package Contents

The standard package includes:

• EKIY MTC-20 Navigation Screen

• Mounting Bracket (specific to model variant)

Note: Optional accessories such as DVR cameras, remote controls, and specific wiring harnesses are sold separately and may not be included in all packages.

6. Setup and Installation

6.1. General Installation

The MTC-20 is designed for easy installation. For BMW models with an original bracket, the device is plug-and-play. For other models, it requires connection to a 12V ACC power supply.

6.2. Mounting the Screen

1. Align the MTC-20 screen with the motorcycle's bracket. Ensure the connectors are properly aligned.
2. Gently push the screen into the bracket until it clicks securely into place.
3. Once installed, the motorcycle can be started, and the screen will power on.

6.3. Disassembly

1. To lock the screen, press the left button on the bracket.
2. To remove the screen, press the right button on the bracket and pull the screen out.

6.4. Anti-theft Combination Lock

The universal model bracket features an anti-theft combination lock. The initial password is "000".

1. Move the lock to the unlock position.
2. Pull out to unlock.
3. Press inward to lock.

6.5. Optional Accessories Installation

6.5.1. WonderWheel Controls (for BMW R1250 GS ADV only)

This optional accessory allows you to control the MTC-20 screen using your motorcycle's original remote control. It is only compatible with BMW R1250 GS ADV models. Please ensure you purchase the correct accessory if you wish to use this feature.

6.5.2. Front Camera (for R1200GS ADV & R1250GS ADV)

An optional front camera is available for R1200GS ADV and R1250GS ADV models. This feature requires the purchase of additional accessories.

6.5.3. Dual Lens Driving Recorder (DVR)

The optional DVR system includes Sony 307 1080P cameras with a 145° wide viewing angle and a remote control for taking pictures. It uses professional car gauge grade wiring for durability and waterproof design.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Power On/Off

The device will automatically power on when the motorcycle is started and power off when the motorcycle is turned off.

7.2. Interface Navigation

The MTC-20 features a touch display. Swipe left/right or tap icons to navigate through the main functions and settings.

7.3. Wireless CarPlay Connection

To connect your iPhone via Wireless CarPlay:

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.
2. On the MTC-20 screen, navigate to the CarPlay section.
3. Select the device name (e.g., "A2-2cda") from your iPhone's Bluetooth settings.
4. Confirm the pairing request on both devices.
5. Once connected, CarPlay will launch automatically on the MTC-20 screen.

7.4. Wireless Android Auto Connection

To connect your Android phone via Wireless Android Auto:

1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your Android phone.
2. On the MTC-20 screen, navigate to the Android Auto section.
3. On your Android phone, go to Bluetooth settings and pair with the device name (e.g., "A2-2cda").
4. Confirm the pairing request on both devices.
5. Once connected, Android Auto will launch automatically on the MTC-20 screen.

7.5. Voice Control

The MTC-20 supports voice control through Siri (for CarPlay) and Google Assistant (for Android Auto). Activate voice control by pressing the designated button on your motorcycle or by using the voice command prompt on the screen.

7.6. Tire Pressure Monitoring (Optional)

If your MTC-20 model includes tire pressure monitoring, you can access this feature from the main menu. It displays real-time tire pressure for both front and rear wheels.

7.7. DVR Function (Optional)

If your MTC-20 model includes the DVR function, you can access the recording interface from the main menu. The DVR remote control allows you to take pictures while riding.

7.8. Settings

Access the settings menu to customize various aspects of your device:

• Projection Screen: Manage CarPlay/Android Auto settings.
• Power Supply: Adjust power-related options.
• Resolution: Change display resolution.
• Loop Recording: Configure DVR loop recording settings.
• G-Sensor: Adjust G-sensor sensitivity for accident detection in DVR.
• Microphone: Adjust microphone settings.
• Mirror Flip: Flip the display orientation.
• Language: Select interface language (Chinese, English, Russian, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Polish).
• Date/Time: Set date and time.
• Timezone Setting: Configure timezone.
• Day and Night: Switch between day mode, night mode, or automatic mode.
• Parking Monitoring: Enable/disable parking monitoring for DVR.
• App: Manage applications.
• Format TF Card: Format the TF card for DVR storage.
• Factory Reset: Reset the device to factory settings.
• About: View device information.

8. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the screen and casing. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Water Resistance: The device is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes and rain. However, avoid submerging it in water for extended periods.
• Temperature: Operate the device within the specified working temperature range of –20℃ to +60℃.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
