Important Notes:
- AOOSTAR has not developed any NAS software. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. If you intend to use a different NAS system, please consult the official website of your chosen NAS system for specific installation instructions. Simply connecting to the network and inserting hard drives will not automatically activate NAS functionality.
- The drives are not hot-swappable. You must power down the device completely before adding or removing any drives to prevent data loss or damage.
2. Product Overview
The AOOSTAR WTR PRO Mini PC is a compact yet powerful computing solution, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U processor and support for up to four 2.5/3.5-inch HDDs, plus NVMe SSDs. It is designed for users requiring significant storage capacity and robust performance in a small form factor.

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Package Contents
Before you begin, ensure all items are present:
- 1 x AOOSTAR WTR PRO Mini PC
- 1 x HDMI cable
- 1 x Power Supply (19V/6.32A, 120W)
- 1 x User Manual (this document)
3.2 Installing Storage Drives
The WTR PRO Mini PC supports up to four 2.5/3.5-inch SATA HDDs and M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs.
- **Power Off**: Ensure the Mini PC is completely powered off and disconnected from the power source.
- **Access Drive Bays**: Gently open the front panel to reveal the 4-bay HDD slots.
- **Install HDDs**: Slide your 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDDs into the available bays. Ensure they are securely seated.
- **Install NVMe SSD (Optional)**: Locate the M.2 2280 NVMe slot (refer to Figure 2). Insert the NVMe SSD and secure it with the provided screw.
- **Close Panel**: Once all drives are installed, close the front panel securely.
Caution: Drives are not hot-swappable. Always power down the device before installing or removing drives.
3.3 Connecting Peripherals
Connect your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and network cables to the appropriate ports. Refer to the "Connectivity" section for a detailed list of ports.

3.4 Powering On
- Connect the power adapter to the DC input port on the Mini PC and then to a power outlet.
- Press the power button located on the front panel.

4.1 Initial Boot and OS Configuration
Upon first boot, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including language, region, and user account creation.
4.2 NAS Functionality
As noted in the introduction, the AOOSTAR WTR PRO Mini PC does not come with proprietary NAS software. To utilize its NAS capabilities, you will need to install a third-party NAS operating system (e.g., TrueNAS, unRAID, OpenMediaVault) or configure Windows Server roles. Refer to the documentation of your chosen NAS software for detailed installation and configuration steps.
4.3 Display Configuration
The Mini PC supports triple 4K display output via HDMI, DisplayPort (DP), and Type-C ports. Connect up to three monitors for an extended desktop experience.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Drive Management
When adding or removing storage drives, always power down the Mini PC completely and disconnect it from the power source. This prevents potential data corruption or hardware damage.
5.2 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the exterior of the Mini PC with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the air vents are free from dust accumulation to allow for proper airflow and cooling by the large 12cm fan.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 NAS Functionality Not Working
If your NAS functionality is not working after installing drives, remember that AOOSTAR does not provide proprietary NAS software. You must install and configure a compatible third-party NAS operating system or software. Verify that your chosen NAS software is correctly installed and configured according to its official documentation.
6.2 Drives Not Detected
If newly installed drives are not detected:
- Ensure the Mini PC was powered off and disconnected from power before installation.
- Verify that the drives are correctly seated in their bays/slots.
- Check the drive's health and compatibility with the system.
- For new drives, they may need to be initialized and formatted within the operating system.
6.3 No Display Output
If there is no display output:
- Check that the monitor is powered on and correctly connected to the Mini PC.
- Try a different display cable or port (HDMI, DP, Type-C).
- Ensure the correct input source is selected on your monitor.
