  • Release Button: For detaching the front part of the gun for cleaning.
  • LED Light Switch: Activates the integrated LED light for better visibility.
  • Jog Wheel: Adjusts the spray pattern (horizontal, vertical, circular).

  • Battery (DC models only): Provides power to the cordless unit.

5. Setup

5.1. Paint Preparation

  1. Check Paint Viscosity: Use the included viscosity cup to test your paint. Fill the cup with paint and time how long it takes for the paint to flow out. Refer to your paint manufacturer's recommendations for appropriate viscosity. If the paint is too thick, thin it with the recommended solvent.
  2. Filter Paint: Use the included paint strainers to filter your paint before pouring it into the container. This prevents clogging of the nozzle and ensures a smooth spray.
  3. Fill Paint Container: Unscrew the paint container from the spray gun. Carefully pour the prepared paint into the 1200ml container. Securely reattach the container to the spray gun.

5.2. Nozzle and Air Cap Installation

  1. Select Nozzle: Choose the appropriate nozzle size for your paint and application. 1.0-1.8mm nozzles are suitable for thin paints like sealers and varnish. The 2.5mm nozzle is ideal for latex paint and chalk-type paint.
  2. Install Nozzle: Insert the selected nozzle into the spray gun head.
  3. Attach Air Cap: Place the air cap over the nozzle and secure it with the union nut. Ensure it is tightened firmly but do not overtighten.

5.3. Power Connection

  • For DKSG60K1 (AC Model): Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  • For DKSG20K3Y (DC Model): Ensure the 1.5A battery is fully charged and securely inserted into the battery slot at the base of the spray gun handle.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Adjusting Spray Pattern

6.2. Adjusting Flow Control

The flow control knob, located near the trigger, allows you to regulate the amount of paint sprayed. Turn it clockwise to increase flow and counter-clockwise to decrease flow. Always test on a scrap piece of material to find the optimal setting.

6.3. Using the LED Light

The integrated LED light provides better visibility in dimly lit areas. Activate it using the LED light switch located on top of the gun. This feature is particularly useful for ensuring even coverage.

6.4. Spraying Technique

  • Hold the spray gun approximately 6-12 inches (15-30 cm) from the surface, depending on the desired coverage and paint type.
  • Move the gun in smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass by about 50%.
  • Release the trigger at the end of each stroke to avoid paint buildup.
  • Maintain a consistent speed and distance for an even finish.

6.5. Portability

The spray gun includes a portable strap for easy carrying during your painting projects.

  2. Empty Paint Container: Pour any remaining paint back into its original container.
  3. Rinse Container: Fill the paint container with the appropriate cleaning solution (water for latex, mineral spirits for oil-based paints) and spray it through the gun until clear.
  4. Disassemble: Press the release button to detach the front part of the gun. Unscrew the union nut and remove the air cap and nozzle.
  5. Clean Components: Thoroughly clean the paint container, suction tube, nozzle, air cap, and spray head with the cleaning needle and brush. Ensure all paint residue is removed.
  6. Wipe Down: Wipe the exterior of the gun with a damp cloth.
  7. Reassemble: Once all parts are dry, reassemble the spray gun.
