7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

When the main AA batteries are low, the lock will emit a 'bi bi bi...' warning sound. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. The 12V 23A backup battery should also be checked periodically and replaced if necessary, typically lasting over a year.

7.2 Cleaning

Clean the lock body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or internal components.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Lock Not Responding to Remote Control

  • Check Batteries: Ensure both the main AA batteries in the lock and the CR2032 battery in the remote control are not depleted.
  • Re-pair Remote: If the remote was recently replaced or if there's interference, try re-pairing the remote control by pressing the 'Normal Working Code-matching Button' inside the lock and then a button on the remote.
  • Obstruction: Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the lock's antenna.

8.2 Lock Not Auto-Locking with Door Sensor

  • Sensor Alignment: Verify that the door sensor and its magnet are correctly aligned and within close proximity when the door is closed.
  • Sensor Batteries: Check the batteries in the door sensor (uses 2 x AAA 1.5V batteries).
  • Sensor Functionality: Ensure the door sensor is properly transmitting signals to the lock.

8.3 Emergency Unlock (Main Batteries Depleted)

If the 4 AA batteries are completely drained, you can activate the backup power supply:

  1. Knock the Door: Gently knock the door 2-3 times to shock the lock and activate the 12V 23A backup battery.
  2. Unlock with Remote: Once the backup power is active (the lock may emit a 'bi' sound), long-press the 'Unlock Button (B)' on your remote control to open the lock.

  • Battery Monitoring: Pay attention to the low power warning sound ('bi bi bi...') and replace the main AA batteries promptly to avoid relying on the backup battery.
  • Indoor Installation: Always install the lock on the interior side of your door to maintain its invisible anti-theft feature.
