- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open.
- For AAA batteries: Insert two 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- For Lithium battery models: The device comes with a built-in Lithium battery. If charging is needed, connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the device and a 5V 500mA power source.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6.2. Power On/Off
- To power on the device, press the ON/DIST button.
- To power off the device, press and hold the CLR/OFF button for a few seconds. The device will automatically power off after 3 minutes of inactivity. The laser will turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
7. Operation
The device offers various measurement modes. Press the FUNC button to cycle through them.
7.1. Single Distance Measurement
- Press ON/DIST once to activate the laser.
- Aim the laser at the target point.
- Press ON/DIST again to take the measurement. The result will be displayed on the screen.

7.2. Continuous Measurement (Tracking)
- Press FUNC until the continuous measurement icon appears on the display.
- Press ON/DIST to start continuous measurement. The device will continuously measure and display the current distance, as well as the minimum and maximum values.
- Press ON/DIST again to stop.
7.3. Area Measurement
- Press FUNC until the area measurement icon appears.
- Take the first measurement (e.g., length) by pressing ON/DIST.
- Take the second measurement (e.g., width) by pressing ON/DIST. The device will automatically calculate and display the area.

7.4. Volume Measurement
- Press FUNC until the volume measurement icon appears.
- Take three consecutive measurements (length, width, height) by pressing ON/DIST after each. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.
7.5. Pythagorean Theorem (Indirect Measurement)
This mode allows indirect measurement of heights or distances using the Pythagorean theorem.
- Press FUNC until the desired Pythagorean icon appears (e.g., for two-point or three-point measurement).
- Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (e.g., hypotenuse and one leg).
- The device will calculate and display the unknown side.
7.6. Add/Subtract Measurements
After taking a measurement, press the + or - button to add or subtract subsequent measurements from the current total.
7.7. Changing Measurement Units
Press the Unit button to cycle through available units: meters (m), inches (in), feet (ft), and feet/inches (ft/in).
8. Data Management
8.1. Data Storage
The device can store up to 99 sets of measurement data. These records can be reviewed at any time.

8.2. Recalling Data
Use the memory function (often integrated with the FUNC button or a dedicated memory button) to browse through previously saved measurements.
9. User Tips
- Battery Choice: If your model supports both AAA and Lithium batteries, consider using the rechargeable Lithium battery for long-term cost savings and environmental benefits. Ensure it's fully charged via the Type-C port before extensive use.
- Screen Visibility: The high-definition backlit screen ensures readability even in low-light conditions.
- Accuracy: For best accuracy, ensure the device is stable and the laser beam is aimed precisely at the target. Avoid measuring through transparent surfaces.
10. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in its protective pouch in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for extended periods, remove AAA batteries to prevent leakage.
- Water and Dust Resistance: The device has an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. However, it is not fully waterproof; avoid submerging it in water.

11. Troubleshooting
