4. Setup Instructions
4.1. Connecting the Ai Box to Your Car
- Power on the product: Connect the Ai Box to your car's USB port using the provided USB cable.
- Connect Bluetooth: On your car's display, navigate to 'Mobile Devices', then 'Connect new device'. Select the corresponding Bluetooth device (e.g., 'AiBox-XXXX') and click 'Connect'.
- Agree to pop-ups: Follow any prompts on your car's display to confirm the connection and agree to necessary permissions.
- Enjoy: Once connected, the Android interface will appear on your car's screen.

4.2. Connecting to the Network
The Ai Box requires an internet connection for many of its features. You have two options:
- Using a Nano SIM card: Insert a Nano SIM card into the designated slot on the Ai Box to use cellular data.
- Connecting to a Wi-Fi network: Go to Ai Box settings > Network & internet > Internet > Wi-Fi. Join an available Wi-Fi network, such as a router or a personal hotspot from your phone.
Tips! Power off before inserting or removing the Nano SIM card. Nano SIM card and TF card are not included in the package.

4.3. Pairing Your Phone with Bluetooth
- Open Bluetooth on your phone and ensure it is discoverable.
- On the Ai Box, open the Bluetooth application. Tap the 'Search' button in the Device list to scan for devices.
- Select your phone from the completed Bluetooth list and click the 'Connect' button.
4.4. Connecting a Bluetooth Remote Control
- Ensure your remote control is in pairing mode.
- After connecting the Ai Box to your car, pair the Bluetooth remote control.
- Follow the prompts on your mobile phone's Bluetooth pop-up window to complete the pairing process.
Tips! The layout of the Bluetooth pairing pop-up may vary depending on the brand of your mobile phone.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. User Interface and App Usage
The OTTOCAST i3 provides an open Android system, allowing you to download and use various applications from the Google Play Store. You can enjoy streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, and more directly on your car's display.

5.2. Split-Screen Mode
Enhance your driving experience with the split-screen functionality. This allows you to run two applications simultaneously, for example, navigation on one side and a video player on the other, providing 'One Screen, Double Enjoyment'.

5.3. HDMI Output
The Ai Box features an HDMI 2.0 output. Simply plug and play to project your dashboard directly onto a headrest monitor. The HDMI output screen ratio will maintain the BMW original car screen ratio.

6.1. System Upgrade
Keeping your Ai Box's software updated ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features. There are two methods for upgrading:
6.1.1. Online Upgrade (FOTA)
- Ensure the product is connected to the internet (via SIM or Wi-Fi).
- Go to Settings > System settings > Version information > Online upgrade.
- If a new software update is available, click the update button to start the download and installation process.
