| Parameter | Value | Calculation Example |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum output power | 6500W | |
| Maximum PV open circuit voltage | 500VDC | |
| Maximum charge current | 120A | |
| Maximum Power (Pmax) | 250W | Max.PV module numbers in series: 13 x 36V ≈60~450VDC |
| Max.Power Voltage Vmpp(V) | 36V | |
| Max.Power Current Impp(A) | 8.3A | PV module numbers in parallel: 13 x 8.3 = 120A |
| Open Circuit Voltage Voc(V) | 40V | Total PV module numbers: 13 |
| Short Circuit Isc(A) | 8.9A | 13 x 2 = 26 |
5. Operation
5.1 System Diagram

The inverter supports various operation modes:
- Operation without battery connected: The inverter can draw power from solar or AC utility/generator to supply home appliances.
- Operation with battery connected: The inverter can utilize solar, AC utility/generator, and battery power to supply home appliances, providing backup power.
5.2 Pure Sine Wave Output

The inverter provides a pure sine wave output, which is identical to the waveform of the utility grid. This ensures high-quality AC power with high efficiency, stable output, and broad compatibility with various loads, including sensitive electronics such as TVs, refrigerators, computers, and other household appliances.
5.3 Monitoring and Control via SMARTESS APP

The inverter can be monitored and controlled remotely using the SMARTESS app, available for both iOS and Android devices. Ensure the WIFI module is correctly installed and configured (set option 05 to "USE" on the inverter's LCD) to enable this feature.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your EASUN Hybrid Solar Inverter.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the inverter's exterior to prevent dust buildup, especially around ventilation openings. Use a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Connections Check: Annually inspect all wiring connections (battery, PV, AC input/output, ground) to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the inverter's ventilation openings are not blocked and that there is adequate airflow around the unit as specified in the installation section.
- Environmental Conditions: Verify that the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or app for any available firmware updates to ensure your inverter has the latest features and bug fixes.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the LED indicator table in the Product Overview section for initial diagnosis. For persistent problems, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/Display: Check all power connections, including battery and AC input. Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify battery voltage is within the acceptable range.
- Fault/Warning LED: Consult the LED indicator table for the specific fault or warning message. This will guide you to the potential issue (e.g., overload, over temperature, short circuit).
- No Output Power: Check AC output connections. Ensure the inverter is not in a fault state. Verify that input power sources (PV, AC utility) are active.
- Battery Not Charging: Check PV input connections and voltage. Verify AC input is present if AC charging is enabled. Ensure battery charging settings are correctly configured via the LCD.
- WIFI Connection Issues: Ensure the WIFI module is correctly installed and the inverter's option 05 is set to "USE". Check your network settings and ensure the inverter is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
If the problem persists after these steps, contact customer support.
9. User Tips
- Battery-less Operation: Remember that only the SMH III 6.2KW and SMH III 4.2KW models can operate without a battery. The SMH II 3.2KW and 2.2KW models require a battery to function.
- Grid Interaction: This hybrid inverter is designed for off-grid or backup power applications. It primarily consumes power from solar or utility/battery to supply loads. For grid-injection capabilities (selling excess power back to the grid), a different type of inverter (grid-tie or advanced hybrid with grid-export features) would be required.
- WIFI Setup: After installing the WIFI module, ensure you navigate to the inverter's LCD settings and set option '05' to 'USE' to activate the WIFI functionality for app monitoring.
10. Warranty and Support
Your EASUN Hybrid Solar Inverter comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions under normal use conditions.
For technical assistance, troubleshooting, or warranty claims, please contact your seller or the manufacturer's customer support. When contacting support, please have your product model and serial number available.
