  • USB Port Care: Keep USB ports free from dust and debris. Use a clean, dry cotton swab if necessary.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures. While designed for automotive use, prolonged exposure to very hot or cold conditions can affect performance.

8. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues and their solutions. For more complex problems, consult a professional technician.

8.1 Cannot Boot Normally

  1. Wiring Check: Ensure the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires are correctly connected. Yellow to constant 12V, Red to ignition 12V, Black to ground.
  2. Fuse Check: Inspect the fuse on the yellow wire. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same rating.
  3. Test with Direct Power: If the unit still doesn't boot, twist the yellow and red wires together and connect them to a 12V positive power supply, and the black wire to negative. Press the power button to test.

8.2 Automatic Shut-down

  1. Blue Cable Connection: If the blue (auto antenna power supply) cable is incorrectly connected to the unit's power cable, it can cause automatic shutdown. Ensure it is wired correctly.
  2. Unstable Voltage: Test the power supply with a stable 12V-5A source. If the unit still shuts down, the problem might be with the unit itself.

8.3 No Sound

  1. Speaker Wiring: Check all speaker cables for short circuits or incorrect connections. Ensure no speaker wire is touching the vehicle's metal frame.
  2. Volume Knob: If the volume knob is broken, it may need replacement.
  3. Reset Unit: Try resetting the unit or disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord.
  4. External Speaker Test: If there's still no sound after installation, disconnect all speaker cables from the unit. Connect an external speaker to the gray and purple tail lines (speaker outputs) to test for sound. If there is sound, the car's speaker line is short-circuited or damaged. If no sound, the unit may be faulty.

8.4 Remote Control Not Working

Test the remote control by pointing it at a mobile phone camera and pressing a button. If the remote's IR emitter lights up on the camera screen, the remote is working. If not, replace the battery.

8.5 Settings Not Saved (No Memory)

  1. Ensure the yellow (B+) and red (ACC) wires are connected separately to their respective constant and ignition 12V sources.
  2. Verify that the yellow and red wires are not reversed.

8.6 Bluetooth Not Working

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the unit and your phone. Search for the unit's Bluetooth name on your phone and attempt to pair. If a pairing code is required, try 0000, 1234, or 123456. If issues persist, try restarting both devices or testing with another phone.

8.7 Reversing Camera Not Displaying

  1. Wiring Check: Verify that the reversing camera is correctly wired as per Section 5.3. Ensure the pink REVERSE wire is connected to the reverse light positive.
  2. Camera Functionality: If the camera's power light (if any) does not illuminate when reverse is engaged, the camera itself might be faulty and require replacement.

8.8 USB Devices Cannot Be Played

Format the USB flash drive to FAT32. Re-download audio/video files and try again. If the issue persists, try a different USB flash drive.

8.9 FM Does Not Receive Radio Stations

  1. Antenna Connection: Ensure the radio antenna plug is fully inserted. Check if the antenna is disconnected or damaged.
  2. Signal Strength: Try searching for stations in an area with better radio signal reception.
  3. Antenna Replacement: If the car's radio antenna is broken or ineffective, replace it and test again.
