4.4 Battery Charging

  1. Unbuckle the battery lock of the aircraft and remove the battery.
  2. Connect the USB charging cable to a 5V-2A power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB adapter).
  3. Connect the other end of the USB charging cable to the drone battery.
  4. The USB red light on the charging cable will turn off during charging and remain on when charging is complete.

Warning: Only use the factory-provided charging cable. Charging must be supervised by an adult and kept away from flammable materials. Allow the battery to rest for 30 minutes after use before charging.

4.5 Pre-Flight Preparation (Remote Control)

  1. Turn on the drone's power and place it on a horizontal surface. The drone's front blue and red lights will flash, indicating it's in frequency matching state.
  2. Press and hold the remote control's power switch. The power indicator will turn on.
  3. Push the throttle lever (left joystick) all the way up, then all the way down. Code-matching is successful when the drone's lights change from flashing to solid.
  4. Horizontal Calibration: Long press the calibration key on the remote control. The drone's LED lights will flash and then become solid, and the remote control will emit a "beep" sound, indicating successful calibration.

Note: Ensure the drone is placed on a horizontal plane for accurate calibration. The drone and remote control must have sufficient power.

4.6 Pre-Flight Preparation (APP)

  1. Turn on the drone's power and place it on a horizontal surface. The drone's front blue and red lights will flash.
  2. On your mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the network named "4DRC_4K_********".
  3. Open the "4D FLY" app. Click the "OFF" button, then turn on the touch rocker. Click the checkmark icon. The drone's lights will turn on normally, indicating successful frequency matching.
  4. Horizontal Calibration: In the app interface, click the "correction" icon. The drone's LED lights will flash and then become solid, indicating successful calibration.

Note: Ensure the drone is placed on a horizontal plane for accurate calibration.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Operation Sequence

Before flying, follow this sequence:

  1. Turn on the drone (refer to 4.5 or 4.6).
  2. Perform frequency matching (refer to 4.5 or 4.6).
  3. Perform horizontal alignment/calibration (refer to 4.5 or 4.6).
  4. Start/Stop motors (refer to 5.2).
  5. One-button Take-off/Landing (refer to 5.3).

5.2 Start/Stop Motors

Push the left control lever (throttle) on the remote control upward to start the motors. The drone will take off normally. All indicator lights will be solid. To stop the motors during flight, short press the emergency stop key.

Note: The emergency stop function is primarily for uncontrolled states. For normal landing, use the one-key take-off/landing key.

5.3 One-Key Take-off and Landing

Once unlocked, gently press the "One Key Takeoff/Landing" key on the remote control or the app. The aircraft will automatically rise to approximately 1 meter and hover. Press the key again to initiate a slow, automatic landing.

5.4 Basic Flight Controls (Remote Control)

  • Ascend/Descend: Push the left joystick (throttle) up to ascend, down to descend.
  • Turn Left/Right: Push the left joystick (rudder) left to turn the drone's nose left, right to turn right.
  • Forward/Backward: Push the right joystick (rudder) up to move forward, down to move backward.
  • Left/Right Sideways Flight: Push the right joystick (rudder) left to move left, right to move right.

5.5 360° Roll

To perform a 360° roll, ensure the drone is at least 1.5 meters above the ground. It is recommended to perform rolls during ascent to maintain altitude.

  • Left Roll: Short press the 360° roll button, then push the right joystick to the left.
  • Right Roll: Short press the 360° roll button, then push the right joystick to the right.
  • Forward Roll: Short press the 360° roll button, then push the right joystick upward.
  • Backward Roll: Short press the 360° roll button, then push the right joystick downward.

5.6 Headless Mode

In headless mode, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, regardless of its actual front. The drone's front when code-matching is set as the default front in headless mode. To adjust the direction, re-perform code-matching. Short press the "headless mode" function key on the remote control to activate/deactivate.

Special Note: For straight-line flight in headless mode, ensure the aircraft is aligned with a straight line and allow the gyroscope to automatically detect it.

5.7 One-Key Return

If the drone is flying too far, press and hold the one-key home button on the remote control. The remote control will emit a "beep" sound, and the drone will automatically return. Any joystick input will cancel the return function.

5.8 Speed Switching

The drone defaults to low-speed mode. Gently press the speed switch button on the remote control:

  • One "beep" sound: Low-speed gear.
  • Two "beep" sounds: Medium-speed gear.
  • Three "beep" sounds: High-speed gear.

5.9 Fine-Tuning

  • Forward/Backward Fine-Tuning: If the drone drifts backward, press and hold the forward fine-tuning key. If it drifts forward, press and hold the backward fine-tuning key.
  • Left/Right Fine-Tuning: If the drone drifts right, press and hold the left fine-tuning key. If it drifts left, press and hold the right fine-tuning key.

5.10 Induction Mode (Palm Control)

During flight, press the remote control/induction switch button to enter induction mode. Hold your palm approximately 10 cm from the drone's body to trigger the sensor. If the drone flies too high, it will automatically descend to a certain height (5-15 seconds) for detection.

5.11 Inductive Roll

In induction mode, place both hands on the left and right inductive heads of the drone. After two seconds of induction, the drone will automatically perform a 360° roll.

5.12 Stop Flight

To stop the drone's flight, simply take the aircraft and turn it upside down.

5.13 Throw Flight Mode

Turn on the drone and place it on a horizontal surface. If no frequency matching occurs within 3 seconds, hold the drone, stretch it forward, and then throw it upward or swing your hand downward. The drone will automatically take off.
