3. Setup Guide
3.1. Connecting the Device
- Connect the RockTek GB1 TV Dongle to your TV using the provided HDMI cable.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the TV Dongle and then to the power adapter (not included).
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
Important: Using the TV's USB port to power the device is NOT recommended as it may not provide sufficient power for stable operation. Always use a dedicated power adapter that meets the device's specification (DC 5V/1A).

3.2. Remote Control Pairing
Upon initial boot-up, the device will guide you through the setup process. The Bluetooth remote control should connect automatically. If not, or if you need to re-pair:
- On the first screen, press the HOME button and the BACK/ESC button on the remote simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Look for a message on the screen confirming the pairing.
- The LED on the device will blink during booting and turn solid when operating. It will blink when in Bluetooth pairing mode.
Note: It is recommended to use the USB cable included with the TV Dongle. Using other Type-C cables, HDMI cables, or power adapters may cause functional problems.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. About Your Remote
The voice remote control features dedicated buttons for easy navigation and quick access to functions:
- Power: Turns the device on/off.
- Input: Switches TV input sources.
- Google Assistant: Activates voice commands.
- Account: Accesses user account settings.
- Setting: Opens device settings.
- OK/Enter: Confirms selections.
- Back/ESC: Returns to the previous screen.
- HOME: Returns to the Google TV home screen.
- Volume +/-: Adjusts audio volume.
- Channel: Changes channels (if applicable).
- Page Up/Down: Navigates through pages.
- Mute: Mutes/unmutes audio.
- Hot Keys: Dedicated buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, and APPS.
4.2. Google TV Interface
The RockTek GB1 runs on Google TV 12, providing a personalized and intuitive interface for discovering content. Browse movies, shows, apps, and games from various streaming services all in one place.

4.3. Using Google Assistant
Your TV Dongle is equipped with Google Assistant for voice control. Simply say "Hey Google!" or press the Google Assistant button on your remote to:
- Find movies and shows.
- Stream apps.

- Control smart home devices.
- Get answers to questions.

4.4. Bluetooth Device Pairing
To connect additional Bluetooth devices like game controllers or earphones:
- Go to Settings on your Google TV interface.
- Scroll down and select Remotes & Accessories.
- Choose Accessory Pairing and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your desired device.
4.5. Streaming and Media Playback
The RockTek GB1 supports a wide range of streaming services and media formats, including Netflix 4K, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Peacock, and Apple TV+.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Software Updates: The device will periodically receive software updates for improved performance and new features. Ensure your device is connected to the internet to receive these updates. Do not turn off the device while it is updating the system.
- Storage: If not in use for an extended period, unplug the device and store it in a cool, dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. General Issues
- No Power: Ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to the device and the power adapter, and the adapter is plugged into a working wall outlet.
- No Signal on TV: Check that the HDMI cable is firmly connected to both the TV Dongle and the TV. Ensure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
- Remote Not Responding: Try re-pairing the remote as described in Section 3.2. Ensure the remote has fresh batteries (AAA, not included).
- Intermittent Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure the device is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restarting your router and the TV Dongle may resolve the issue.
- App Freezing/Crashing: Try restarting the app. If the issue persists, restart the TV Dongle.
6.2. FCC Information to User
