6. Installation and Wiring

Before installation, ensure the main power supply is OFF. This device is designed for Din Rail mounting.

6.1. Mounting

  1. Attach the voltmeter to a standard 35mm Din Rail by clipping it into place.
  2. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not wobble.

6.2. Wiring Diagram

Refer to the diagram below for correct wiring. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or lead to hazardous conditions.

Wiring diagram for GEYA GV-1P and GV-3P Voltmeters

Figure 5: Wiring Diagram for GV-1P (left) and GV-3P (right)

  • GV-1P (Single Phase Voltmeter): Connect the input voltage to terminals 1 and 2. The display will show 'V~'.
  • GV-3P (Three Phase Voltmeter): Connect phase 1 to terminals 1 and 2 (V1~), phase 2 to terminals 3 and 4 (V2~), and phase 3 to terminals 5 and 6 (V3~). The display will show 'V1~', 'V2~', and 'V3~' sequentially.

Important Note: This product is not suitable for use with frequency converters, inverters, or in power environments with high harmonic interference. Such conditions may lead to inaccurate readings or damage to the device.

7. Operation

Once properly installed and wired, restore power to the circuit. The voltmeter will automatically power on and display the measured AC voltage(s) on its LED screen. For the GV-3P model, the display will cycle through the voltages of each phase (V1, V2, V3).

  • Reading the Display: The bright red LED display provides clear numerical readings of the voltage.
  • Accuracy: The device provides readings with a ±2% discrepancy range.

8. Maintenance

The GEYA Digital Voltmeter requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Environment: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges.
  • Power Off: Always disconnect power before performing any cleaning or inspection.

9. Troubleshooting
