The coffee maker can brew up to 9 cups (45 ounces) of coffee in approximately 8 minutes. The boil-dry protection plate keeps coffee warm for up to 2 hours. It also includes a 30-second anti-drip function for convenience.

  • Power Button (⑂): Turns the coffee maker On or Off.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and labels from your coffee maker.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the glass carafe, brew basket, and coffee scoop in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. First Cycle (Cleaning): Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line with clean water. Place the empty brew basket and carafe in position. Run a full brew cycle without coffee grounds to clean the internal components. Discard the water.
  4. Placement: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  5. Set Clock: Plug in the coffee maker. The digital display will flash. Use the 'Hour' and 'Minute' buttons to set the current time. The clock will be set automatically after a few seconds of inactivity.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

  1. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid of the water reservoir. Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water to your desired cup level, using the markings on the side. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.

  3. Add Coffee Grounds: Place the reusable filter into the brew basket. For best results, use one level scoop (provided) of ground coffee per cup. Adjust to taste. Close the brew basket lid securely.

  5. Place Carafe: Ensure the empty glass carafe is placed correctly on the heating plate.
  6. Start Brewing: Press the Power (⑂) button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
  7. Keep Warm: After brewing is complete, the heating plate will keep the coffee warm for up to 2 hours before automatically shutting off.

Using the Auto-Brew Function

  1. Follow steps 1-3 from 'Brewing Coffee'.
  2. Set Auto Time: Press the 'Auto' button. The display will flash. Use the 'Hour' and 'Minute' buttons to set your desired brew start time.
  3. Activate Auto-Brew: Press the 'Auto' button again to confirm the setting. The 'Auto' indicator light will illuminate. The coffee maker will automatically start brewing at the programmed time.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

  1. Daily Cleaning: After each use, unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool. Remove the brew basket and glass carafe. These parts are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning. Wash the coffee scoop by hand.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  3. Cleaning Reminder: The coffee maker features an automatic cleaning reminder that activates every 80 brews. When the reminder appears, it's time to descale your machine.
  4. Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal):
    • Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio).
    • Place the empty carafe on the heating plate.
    • Run a full brew cycle.
    • After the cycle, let the coffee maker cool for 15 minutes.
    • Repeat the process with clean water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
    • Perform descaling monthly or more frequently if you have hard water.
