Setup

1. Unlocking the Gimbal Axes

IMPORTANT: Before powering on the HQ6, you must unlock both the Tilt and Roll axes. Failure to do so can damage the gimbal motor.

  1. Unlock Tilt Axis: Gently rotate the gimbal arm to release the tilt axis lock.
  2. Unlock Roll Axis: Gently rotate the gimbal arm to release the roll axis lock.

2. Mounting Your Smartphone

Shooting Modes

The AXNEN HQ6 offers a variety of shooting modes to suit different scenarios:

  • Semi Follow Mode (PF): (Default upon powering on) Tilt and Roll axes are locked. The Pan axis rotates smoothly with the handle's movement.
  • All Follow Mode (AF): The Roll axis is locked. The Pan axis (left/right) and Tilt axis (up/down) will follow the movement of the handle.
  • Lock Full Mode (AL): All Pan, Tilt, and Roll axes are locked. The camera's orientation remains fixed, independent of handle movement.
  • First Person View (FV): All Pan, Tilt, and Roll axes follow the movement of the handle, simulating a first-person visual effect.
  • Inception Mode: The lens automatically rotates to create a cinematic, spinning effect. Activate by triple-pressing the trigger button.
  • Semi-mad Dog Mode (PF fast flash): An upgraded version of PF mode, speeding up transitions for dynamic shots. Activate in PF mode by single-pressing and long-pressing the trigger button.
