7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Sunster Diesel Air Heater. While specific maintenance schedules are detailed in the full PDF manual, general practices include:
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the air inlet and outlet free from dust and debris to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.
- Fuel System Check: Periodically inspect the fuel tank for adequate fuel levels and ensure the fuel pipe is not blocked or damaged.
- Wiring Inspection: Check the main wiring harness and all electrical connections for any signs of wear or damage.
- Component Integrity: Ensure all components, including the ignition plugin, pump plugin, and fan plugin, are securely connected and functioning correctly. Replace any faulty parts as needed.
For detailed maintenance procedures and schedules, please consult the full user manual PDF: User Manual (PDF).
8. Troubleshooting (E-Code Display)
The LCD display shows error codes (E-codes) to indicate specific issues. Refer to the table below for common error codes and their solutions:
| Error Code | Type of Fault | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| E01 | Supply Voltage Overrun | Check the battery output voltage: 9-16V for 12V heater, 18-30V for 24V heater. |
| E03 | Ignition Unit Fault | Check if the ignition plugin is disconnected. If not, replace it with a new one. |
| E04 | Pulse Pump Fault | Check if the pump plugin is disconnected. If not, replace it with a new one. Check if the main wiring harness is broken. |
| E05 | Overheating | Check if the air inlet and outlet are blocked. |
| E06 | Fan Fault | Check if the fan plugin is disconnected. If not, replace it with a new one. |
| E07 | Air Intake Sensor Abnormality | Mainboard failure. Replace the mainboard. |
| E08 | Lack of Fuel | Check if the fuel tank is empty and add fuel. |
| E09 | Overheat Sensor Fault | Check if the sensor plugin is disconnected. If not, replace it with a new one. |
| E10 | Startup Failure | Check if the fuel tank is empty and add fuel, or check if the fuel pipe is blocked. |
| E11 | Carbon Monoxide Exceeds Standard (connect A2422) | If CO concentration exceeds the standard, open windows for ventilation and evacuate the area immediately. |
9. User Tips
- Understanding Auto Stop: The 'Auto stop' feature is part of the constant temperature mode. It means the heater will automatically turn off once the set temperature is reached and will automatically restart when the temperature drops. This is a normal, energy-saving function and not an indication of a fault.
- Bluetooth Connection: If you have trouble connecting via Bluetooth, ensure you are in the engineering mode (long press knob for 5s) and have navigated to 'En09' to view the correct Bluetooth code for matching in the app.
- Initial Fueling: Always perform the manual pump oil procedure during the first installation or after running out of fuel to ensure the fuel lines are properly primed.
