8. Maintenance

8.1. Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the Mini PC.
  • For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution.
  • Use compressed air to gently clear dust from ventilation openings. Do not insert objects into the vents.

8.2. Software Updates

  • Regularly check for and install Windows updates to ensure system stability and security. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  • Keep your drivers updated for optimal performance. You can usually find driver updates through Windows Update or the Teclast support website.

8.3. Storage Management

  • Periodically clean up unnecessary files and applications to free up storage space.
  • Consider using cloud storage for large files to reduce local disk usage.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Teclast N20 Pro, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
    • Try a different power adapter if available and compatible.
  • No Display:
    • Check that the HDMI/Type-C cable is securely connected to both the Mini PC and the monitor.
    • Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
    • Try a different display cable or monitor if possible.
  • No Internet Connection:
    • Wired: Check the Ethernet cable connection. Verify your router/modem is working.
    • Wireless: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings. Check if your Wi-Fi network is visible and you have entered the correct password. Restart your router/modem.
  • System Unresponsive / Freezing:
    • Press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds to force a shutdown, then restart the device.
    • If the issue persists, use the 'Clear CMOS' button (a small pinhole on the front) to reset BIOS settings to default. This typically requires a paperclip or similar thin object. Note: Only use the Clear CMOS button in non-emergency situations or if instructed by support.
  • Peripheral Not Detected:
    • Try connecting the peripheral to a different USB port.
    • Ensure the peripheral's drivers are installed and up to date.
    • Restart the Mini PC.

10. User Tips

  • Optimize Performance: For demanding tasks, ensure background applications are closed. Regularly defragment your SSD (if applicable, though modern SSDs manage this automatically) and keep your system clean from temporary files.
  • Utilize VESA Mount: If space is a concern, consider using the included VESA mount to attach the Mini PC to the back of your monitor. This helps declutter your desk and keeps the unit out of sight.
  • External Storage: For extensive media libraries or backups, consider connecting an external hard drive to one of the USB 3.2 ports for fast data transfer.

11. Warranty and Support

Your Teclast N20 Pro Mini PC comes with a standard manufacturer's warranty. Please refer to the warranty card included in your package for specific terms and conditions, including warranty period and coverage details.
