7. Operation
Once properly wired and powered on, the digital display will illuminate, showing the current resistance value.
7.1 Adjusting the Value
Rotate the front knob clockwise to increase the resistance value and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The digital display will update in real-time to show the precise setting.

7.2 A/B Buttons
The A and B buttons on the front panel may be used for specific parameter settings or fine adjustments depending on the application. Refer to the documentation of the device you are connecting the potentiometer to for specific button functionalities, if any.
8. Maintenance
The DVR-118R is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance.
- Keep the unit clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Periodically check all electrical connections to ensure they remain secure.
- Avoid exposing the device to harsh chemicals or solvents.
9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Digital display is off | No power supply or incorrect wiring. | Check input power connections (AC 110-230V or DC 8-28V) and ensure correct polarity for DC. |
| Incorrect resistance value displayed | Faulty wiring or internal issue. | Verify all wiring connections are correct and secure. If the problem persists, contact support. |
| Device not controlling connected equipment | Misunderstanding of device function; attempting to control power/load directly. | Remember, the DVR-118R is a potentiometer module, providing a control signal. It cannot directly handle power or load. Ensure it is connected to the control input of a compatible device (e.g., a speed controller's potentiometer input). |
10. User Tips
- Understand its Role: The DVR-118R functions as a signal generator (variable resistance) for other electronic circuits. It is not a power regulator or a device that can directly drive motors or heaters.
- Check Compatibility: Before connecting, ensure your target device (e.g., inverter, motor controller) is designed to accept a potentiometer as an input for control.
- Verify Input Type: Double-check if your application requires AC or DC input power for the DVR-118R and select the appropriate model/wiring.
11. Warranty and Support
For warranty information or technical support, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer directly. Provide your model number (DVR-118R) and a detailed description of the issue when seeking assistance.
