3. Installation
- Mounting the Display:
Attach the DPC10 display to the center of your bicycle's handlebar using the integrated clamps. Ensure it is securely fastened and positioned for optimal visibility while riding. The display should be angled to prevent glare and allow easy access to the remote control buttons.

- Mounting the Remote Control:
Mount the remote control unit on the left side of the handlebar, near the grip, for easy thumb access. Secure it firmly with the provided fasteners.

- Connecting the Cables:
Connect the display cable to the corresponding port on your Bafang MID Motor system. The DPC10 display uses a green round plug for connection. Ensure the connection is firm and secure. Route cables neatly along the handlebar and frame, securing them with zip ties if necessary, to prevent interference with steering or moving parts.

Important: This display is compatible with Bafang MID Motors using the UART protocol, specifically models BBS0102, HD M300, M400, and M620. Verify your motor's protocol before installation.
4. Operation
4.1 Button Functions

- M (Mode) Button:
- Press and hold to power on/off the display.
- Short press to cycle through display information (e.g., Odometer, Trip Distance, Max Speed, Average Speed).
- Up (▲) Button:
- Short press to increase the pedal assist level (PAS).
- Long press (in certain modes) to activate the walk assist function.
- Down (▼) Button:
- Short press to decrease the pedal assist level (PAS).
- Long press (in certain modes) to turn the headlight on/off (if connected and supported by the motor system).
4.2 Display Information
The DPC10 display provides real-time data to enhance your riding experience.

- Battery Level: Indicated by a graphic icon at the top left.
- Headlight Indicator: An icon at the top right indicates if the headlight is on.
- Current Speed: Displayed prominently in km/h.
- Trip Distance: Shows the distance covered in the current ride (resettable).
- Assist Level: A number (e.g., '5') indicates the current pedal assist level.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the display screen and casing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
- Water Resistance: The display is designed to be splash-proof for normal riding conditions. Avoid submerging the display in water or exposing it to high-pressure water jets.
- Temperature: Do not expose the display to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold) for extended periods, as this may affect its performance and lifespan.
- USB Port: The USB port (visible on the rear of the display, Figure 3.3) can be used for charging small devices or for potential firmware updates. Ensure the rubber cover is securely closed when not in use to protect against moisture and dust.

- Ensure all cable connections, especially the green round plug, are secure and properly seated.
- Verify the motor system is powered on.
- Incorrect Speed/Distance Readings:
- Check the wheel size setting in the display's advanced settings (if available, refer to Bafang motor manual for access).
- Ensure the speed sensor magnet is correctly positioned and not damaged.
- Buttons Not Responding:
- Check for any physical obstruction.
- Ensure the remote control cable is securely connected.
