3. Product Overview

4. Setup and Initial Use

4.1 Battery Installation

The screwdriver is battery-powered. Ensure batteries are correctly installed before first use. Refer to the battery compartment for polarity. While the product description states 'Battery Included: No', it is designed to operate with batteries.

4.2 Bit Installation

The GOYOJO Digital Torque Screwdriver features a magnetic 1/4" hex bit holder for quick and easy bit changes.

  1. Select the appropriate bit for your task from the included 10-piece set.
  2. Insert the bit firmly into the magnetic 1/4" hex holder at the tip of the screwdriver. The magnetic holder will secure the bit in place.
  3. To remove, simply pull the bit out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the P/C button until the display illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the P/C button until the display turns off. The device will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

5.2 Unit Selection

The screwdriver supports four torque units: N.m, lbf.ft, lbf.in, and kgf.cm.

  • With the device powered on, press the M button repeatedly to cycle through the available units until your desired unit is displayed.

5.3 Setting Torque Values (Preset Mode)

The screwdriver allows you to set custom preset torque values for repetitive tasks.

  1. Press the M button to enter the Preset mode (indicated on the display).
  2. Use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons to adjust the target torque value.
  3. Press the M button again to confirm the setting.
  4. The device can store up to 3 groups of preset values.

5.4 Operating Modes (Track and Peak)

The screwdriver offers two main operating modes:

  • Track Mode: Displays real-time torque as it is applied.
  • Peak Mode: Captures and displays the maximum torque applied during an operation. In this mode, the device records each torque value and stores up to 999 data sets for later review.

To switch between modes, press the M button until the desired mode (Track or Peak) is shown on the display.

5.5 Overload Protection and Alerts

The GOYOJO Digital Torque Screwdriver features an intelligent alert system to prevent damage from excessive torque.

  • When the applied torque reaches 80% of the preset maximum torque value, the device will trigger a warning (buzzer sound and/or visual alert on the LED display).
  • Note: Ensure the buzzer function is turned on in the settings for audible alerts.

5.6 LED Backlight

The convenient backlight mode makes it easy to read the display in low-light environments. The backlight automatically activates when the device is in use or a button is pressed.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the screwdriver body with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
  • Keep the bit holder free from debris to ensure proper bit seating.

6.2 Storage

  • Store the screwdriver and bits in a dry, clean environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

6.3 Bit Care

  • The included bits are made of high-quality alloy steel for wear resistance and toughness.
  • Inspect bits regularly for wear or damage. Replace worn bits to maintain precision and prevent damage to fasteners.
