1. Product Overview

The UNI-T UTi260E and UTi320E are handheld intelligent thermal imaging cameras designed for a wide range of temperature measurement scenarios. 2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully unpack the thermal imager and all accessories. Verify that all items listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, contact your supplier immediately.

2.2 Battery Installation and Charging

The device is powered by a 3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion battery pack. Ensure the battery is correctly inserted into the handle. The battery can be charged in two ways:

  1. Separate Battery Charging: Remove the battery from the device and charge it using a compatible charger.
  2. In-Device Charging: Connect the thermal imager to a power source using the provided Type-C USB cable. The device supports charging while the battery is installed.

The battery compartment is designed with anti-reverse plug protection to prevent incorrect insertion.

2.3 Device Components

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (yellow button) to turn the device on or off.

3.2 Capturing Images

Point the thermal imager at the target. Press the trigger (shutter button) on the handle to capture a thermal image. Images are saved to the Micro SD card.

3.3 Image Modes and Palettes

The device supports various image modes and 7 color palettes (Iron Red, Rainbow, White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Lava, High Contrast Rainbow) to visualize temperature differences effectively.

3.4 Data Storage and Management

Images are stored on the Micro SD card. You can organize images into custom folders by entering a QR code (manual input or scanning) when taking a photo. This allows for easy classification and viewing of stored data.

3.5 Connectivity (Mobile App / PC Software)

The UTi260E/UTi320E supports communication with mobile apps and PC software for advanced analysis and real-time display. Connect the device via Type-C USB for PC communication or use Wi-Fi for mobile app connectivity (check product specifications for specific model features).

3.6 Temperature Measurement Features

  • High/Low Temperature Alarm: Alerts the user when temperatures exceed or fall below set thresholds.

4. Maintenance

4.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the thermal imager in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lens protection cover is closed.

4.3 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, charge the battery regularly, even if the device is not in frequent use. Avoid fully discharging the battery for long periods.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not power on:
    • Check if the battery is properly installed.
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger and try again.
  • Image is blurry or unclear:
    • Clean the infrared and visible light lenses.
    • Ensure the lens protection cover is fully open.
    • Adjust the focus if applicable (UTi260E/UTi320E models are focus-free).
  • Cannot connect to Mobile App/PC:
    • Verify Wi-Fi is enabled on the device and your mobile device.
    • Ensure the Type-C USB cable is securely connected for PC communication.
    • Check if the correct drivers or app are installed on your PC/mobile device.
  • Temperature readings seem inaccurate:
    • Ensure the emissivity setting is correct for the material being measured.
    • Avoid measuring through reflective surfaces.
    • Allow the device to stabilize in the environment before taking critical measurements.
