4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the main unit on a stable, heat-resistant, and well-ventilated surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for airflow.
  3. Connect Hot Air Gun: Connect the hot air gun handle to the designated port on the main unit. Ensure the connection is secure.
  4. Connect Soldering Iron: Connect the soldering iron handle to its designated port on the main unit. Place the soldering iron in its stand.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the main unit and then to a suitable power outlet (110V or 220V, depending on your model).
  6. Nozzle/Tip Installation: Select the appropriate hot air nozzle for your task and securely attach it to the hot air gun. For the soldering iron, ensure a suitable tip is installed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. General Operation

  1. Power On: Flip the main ON/OFF switch on the front panel to the 'ON' position. The dual LCD displays will illuminate.
  2. Mode Selection: The unit features separate controls for the hot air rework station and the soldering station.

5.2. Hot Air Station Operation

  1. Activate Hot Air: Press the left 'POWER' button to activate the hot air station.
  2. Adjust Air Flow: Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons below the 'SMD REWORK' display to adjust the air flow (020-100 grades).
  3. Adjust Temperature: Press the 'SET' button to switch to temperature settings. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons to increase or decrease the temperature (100°C-500°C). Press 'SET' again to confirm and exit.
  4. Memory Function: The hot air station has 3 memory channels. Short press the left 'POWER' button and '1', '2', or '3' to quickly use a stored temperature. Long press the left 'POWER' button and '1', '2', or '3' to store the current temperature and air flow settings.
  5. Standby Mode: When the hot air gun handle is placed on its holder, the station will automatically enter sleep status ('SLP') and cool down. Picking up the handle will reactivate it.
  6. Cold Air Function: The unit can switch between hot and cold air. Refer to the video demonstration for specific button presses.

5.3. Soldering Station Operation

  1. Activate Soldering Iron: Press the right 'POWER' button to activate the soldering station.
  2. Adjust Temperature: Press the 'SET' button to switch to temperature settings. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons to increase or decrease the temperature (200°C-480°C). Press 'SET' again to confirm and exit.
  3. Memory Function: The soldering station has 3 memory channels. Short press the right 'POWER' button and '1', '2', or '3' to quickly use a stored temperature. Long press the right 'POWER' button and '1', '2', or '3' to store the current temperature.

5.4. Temperature Unit Switching (°C/°F)

To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, simultaneously press the 'UP', 'DOWN', 'SET' buttons, and the main ON/OFF switch button.

5.5. Temperature Compensation

The temperature compensation setting is ±50°C. To enter this setting, press the hot air gun handle's 'X' button and the left 'POWER' button simultaneously. Use 'UP' to increase and 'DOWN' to decrease the compensation value. Press 'SET' to confirm and exit. Calibration is required when replacing the heater or handle.

6. Maintenance

  1. Cleaning: Regularly clean the hot air gun nozzles and soldering iron tips to ensure optimal performance. Use a damp sponge for soldering tips and a brush for nozzles.
  2. Tip Care: Always tin the soldering iron tip before storing it to prevent oxidation. Replace worn or damaged tips promptly.
  3. Nozzle Care: Ensure hot air nozzles are free from debris. Replace if bent or damaged to maintain proper airflow.
  4. General Cleaning: Keep the main unit clean and free of dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  5. Storage: When not in use, store the unit in a dry, dust-free environment.
