1. Cleaning the Scan Window
Regularly clean the scan window to prevent dust and smudges from affecting scanning performance. Use a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. General Care
- Keep the scanner away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and high humidity.
- Avoid dropping the scanner or subjecting it to strong impacts, although it is designed to withstand drops from 1.5 meters.
- Do not attempt to open or modify the scanner, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your T-D9PRO scanner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
1. Scanner Not Responding
- Check USB Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into both the scanner and the computer. Try a different USB port.
- Power Indicator: Verify that the blue LED indicator on the scanner is lit, indicating it is receiving power.
- Restart Computer: Sometimes, a simple computer restart can resolve connectivity issues.
2. Unable to Scan Barcodes
- Clean Scan Window: A dirty or smudged scan window can impair reading. Clean it as described in the Maintenance section.
- Barcode Quality: Ensure the barcode is clear, undamaged, and properly printed. Test with a known good barcode.
- Scanning Distance: Adjust the distance between the barcode and the scanner. Refer to the specifications for optimal ranges.
- Lighting Conditions: While the scanner uses natural light + LED, extreme lighting conditions (too dark or too bright) can sometimes affect performance.
- Barcode Type: Confirm that the barcode type you are trying to scan is supported by the T-D9PRO.
3. Incorrect Data Output
- Keyboard Language: Ensure your computer's keyboard layout matches the scanner's configured language setting.
- Software Compatibility: Verify that the application you are using is compatible with barcode scanner input.
