7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Controller not powering on. No power supply; incorrect voltage; loose connection. Check power adapter and outlet. Ensure DC input is 12-24V. Verify all connections are secure.
Bluetooth controller not pairing. Bluetooth off on device; app issue; controller in wrong mode. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Restart the app. Try a factory reset (Hold on 3 seconds). Ensure controller is in pairing mode.
Lights not responding to app. Controller not connected to lamp; app not connected to controller; incorrect settings. Check 5-pin connection to the lamp. Verify app shows controller as "Online" (White Constant indicator). Review app settings for schedules or manual overrides.
Indicator light is red constant. Controller is in Linkage Mode - Receiver Mode. This is normal for receiver mode. If you intend to control it directly, ensure it's paired (White Constant).

8. User Tips

  • Cable Interface: Always double-check that your lamp's cable interface is a 5-pin connector to ensure compatibility with these controllers.
  • App Connectivity: For Bluetooth controllers, ensure your phone's Bluetooth is active and the iMicMol app has the necessary permissions to connect to devices.
  • Customization: Experiment with the "Time Point" feature in the app to create highly customized lighting schedules that mimic natural light cycles for your aquarium.
  • Factory Reset: If you encounter persistent issues with the Bluetooth controller, a factory reset (holding the touch button for 3 seconds) can often resolve connectivity problems.
