5. Charging the Jump Starter Battery

Before first use, please charge the jump starter for 3 hours or more. Ensure the jump starter has at least 50% capacity before attempting to jump start a vehicle.

5.1. Charging with an AC Adapter (AC adapter is not included)

  1. Connect the jump starter's Type-C input port (5) with the provided Type-C USB cable.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an AC adapter (not included).
  3. Plug the AC adapter into a power source.

5.2. Charging with a Car Charger (Car cigarette lighter adapter is not included in the package)

  1. Connect the jump starter's Type-C input port (5) with the provided Type-C USB cable, and then connect to a car cigarette lighter adapter (not included).
  2. Plug the car cigarette lighter adapter into your car's cigarette lighter socket.

6. How to Jump Start Your Vehicle

This unit is designed for jump starting 12V car batteries. Do not attempt to jump start vehicles with a higher battery rating or different voltage. Ensure the jump starter battery has at least 50% or more capacity.

Important Safety Note:

  • If the vehicle isn't started immediately, please wait for 1 minute to allow the device to cool down.
  • Do not try to restart the vehicle after three consecutive attempts as this may damage the unit.
  • Check your vehicle for other possible reasons why it can't be restarted.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Plug in the Jumper Cable: Connect the intelligent battery clamps to the EC5 output port (4) on the jump starter. If the indicator light on the jumper cable is blue, the clamp cable is in standby status.
  2. Connect the Clamps to Your Car Battery: Connect the red clamp cable to the positive (+) terminal of your car battery and the black clamp cable to the negative (-) terminal. Please avoid reverse connection.
  3. Start Your Car Engine: When the indicator light of the jumper cable turns green, you can try to start your vehicle.
  4. Remove the Clamps: After jump-starting the engine, first remove the battery clamps from the car battery, then remove the jumper cable plug from the jump starter.

6.1. Force Start Function

If your vehicle's battery is completely dead (voltage < 2V) and the jump starter does not automatically detect it, you can use the force start function:

  • Ensure the correct connection of clamps to the car battery.
  • Long-press the red button on the intelligent battery clamps for 3 seconds until the middle indicator light turns green.
  • Once the green light is on, you have approximately 30 seconds to start your car engine.

The intelligent battery clamps provide visual and audible feedback to guide you through the jump-starting process and alert you to potential issues.

8. How to Charge Mobile Phones or Digital Products

The AVAPOW A58 jump starter features two USB output ports, allowing you to charge your smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices. With Quick Charge 3.0 support on USB 1, it can charge compatible devices up to 75% faster than standard chargers. You can charge two devices simultaneously.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Connect USB Cable: Plug the USB port of your charging cable into either USB 1 (2) or USB 2 (3) output ports on the jump starter.
  2. Connect to Device: Insert the other end of the cable into the input port of your mobile phone or digital product.
  3. Start Charging: Once connected correctly, press the Power button (1) on the jump starter. Your device should begin charging.

9. LED Flashlight

The built-in LED light (7) offers multiple modes for various situations, making it a versatile emergency tool.

Operating the LED Light:

  1. Turn On/Off: Long-press the Power button (1) for 3 seconds to turn on the flashlight. The battery capacity indicator lights will also turn on. Long-press the Power button again for 3 seconds to switch the device off completely. If no device is connected, it will automatically switch off after a period of inactivity.
  2. Change Modes: Once the LED flashlight is on (in light mode), short-press the Power button (1) to cycle through the different modes:
    • Lighting (Steady On)
    • SOS (Morse Code for distress)
    • Strobe (Flashing)
  3. Turn Off from Any Mode: Long-press the Power button (1) for 3 seconds in any mode to turn off the LED function.

The flashlight offers more than 35 hours of continuous use when fully charged.

10. Safety Warnings

⚠ Please read and adhere to all safety warnings to prevent injury or damage to the device and your vehicle.

  1. Never short circuit the jump starter by connecting the Red and Black clamps.
  2. Do not disassemble the jump starter.
  3. When children use this product, please ensure they are under the guidance of parents.
  4. Store in a dry place, do not expose to damp conditions or near corrosive materials.
  5. If the jump starter expands, leaks, or emits a peculiar smell, stop use immediately.
  6. Please use this jump starter at normal temperature and keep it far away from excessively wet, hot, and fire-prone environments.
  7. Do not attempt to start the vehicle continuously. Allow an interval of at least 30 seconds to 1 minute between starting attempts.
  8. When the battery power is less than 10%, do not use the jump starter as it may damage the unit.
  9. Before first use, please charge it for 3 hours or more.

11. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AVAPOW A58 Jump Starter.

  • Regular Charging: To maintain battery health, it is recommended to fully charge the jump starter every 3-6 months, even if not in use. This prevents deep discharge and extends its lifespan.

  • Check Cables and Clamps: Periodically inspect the intelligent battery clamps and cables for any signs of damage, fraying, or corrosion. Replace if necessary.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct water contact.
