5. Setup

Before operating the compressor, ensure it is placed on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Keep it away from flammable materials and moisture.

5.1 Initial Checks

  1. Inspect for Damage: Check the compressor and all accessories for any visible damage from shipping.
  2. Burst Disc Installation: Ensure the burst disc is correctly installed in its designated port. This is a critical safety component.
  3. Filter Cotton: Install the filter cotton into the oil/water separator.
  4. Connect Oil/Water Separator: Attach the oil/water separator to the air outlet hose.

5.2 Power Connection

The TXET061 offers flexible power options:

  • 12V DC Car Battery: Connect the provided car power line to the 12V DC power connector on the compressor and to a 12V car battery. Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).

  • 110V/220V AC Wall Outlet: Connect the home power line to the 110V/220V AC to 12V DC converter, then connect the converter to the 12V DC power connector on the compressor. Plug the converter into a suitable wall outlet.

5.3 Air Hose Connection

  1. Connect the air outlet hose (with the oil/water separator) to the 8mm male connector on the compressor.
  2. Connect the other end of the air hose to the device you intend to inflate (PCP airgun, paintball tank, mini diving tank). Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leaks.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your TUXING TXET061 compressor:

  1. Set Desired Pressure: Rotate the adjustable pressure gauge to set your desired shut-off pressure. The compressor will automatically stop when this pressure is reached.
  2. Turn on Cooling Fan: Flip the Cooling Fan Switch to the ON position. The fan must run throughout the entire inflation process to prevent overheating.
  3. Start Compressor: Flip the Motor Switch to the ON position. The compressor will begin to fill the connected device.
  4. Monitor Operation: Continuously monitor the pressure gauge and the temperature display. Do not allow the temperature to exceed safe operating limits (refer to specifications or product markings).
  5. Automatic Shut-off: The compressor will automatically stop once the preset pressure is reached.
  6. Manual Shut-off: If you need to stop the compressor manually, first turn off the Motor Switch, then the Cooling Fan Switch.
  7. Release Pressure: After inflation is complete and the compressor has stopped, slowly open the Release Valve to vent any residual pressure in the hose before disconnecting.
  8. Disconnect: Once pressure is fully released, disconnect the air hose from your device and then from the compressor.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor.

  • Filter Replacement: Periodically check and replace the filter cotton in the oil/water separator to ensure clean air output. The frequency depends on usage and environmental conditions.
  • Drain Moisture: The compressor features a built-in drain system. Regularly drain any accumulated moisture from the system to prevent corrosion and maintain efficiency.
  • Inspect Hoses and Connections: Before each use, inspect all hoses and connections for wear, cracks, or leaks. Replace any damaged components immediately.
  • Clean Exterior: Keep the exterior of the compressor clean and free of dust and debris to ensure proper airflow for cooling.
  • Storage: Store the compressor in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not startNo power, blown fuse, loose connectionCheck power source, replace fuse, secure all connections.
Not reaching desired pressureAir leak, clogged filter, incorrect pressure settingCheck for leaks, replace filter cotton, verify pressure gauge setting.
OverheatingInsufficient cooling, prolonged operationEnsure cooling fan is on and vents are clear. Allow compressor to cool down. Do not operate continuously for extended periods.
Excessive noise or vibrationLoose components, worn partsInspect for loose screws or fittings. If persistent, contact support.
Moisture in air outputOil/water separator needs maintenanceReplace filter cotton, drain moisture from the system.

9. User Tips

  • Always ensure proper ventilation during operation to prevent overheating and ensure efficient cooling.
  • For optimal performance and longevity, avoid running the compressor for excessively long periods without allowing it to cool down.
  • Regularly check the temperature display and stop operation if the temperature approaches critical levels.
  • Keep the compressor clean and free of dust, especially around the cooling vents, to maintain airflow.
