4.1 Left Side Controls

5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Device
- Connect the device to a computer's USB port or a USB wall adapter (not included) using the provided USB data cable.
- The battery indicator on the LED screen will show charging status.
- A full charge typically takes a few hours. The device has an 800mAh lithium battery, providing approximately 36 hours of recording time and 74 hours of playback time.
5.2 Inserting a Micro SD Card (Optional)
The device has 8GB of internal memory. To expand storage, you can insert a Micro SD card (up to 64GB).

- Locate the Micro SD Card slot on the right side of the device.
- Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
- To remove, push the card gently inward until it springs out.
5.3 Initial Power On and Language Selection
- Press and hold the power button (usually the Play/Pause button) for a few seconds to turn on the device.
- Upon first use, you may be prompted to select a language. Use the navigation buttons to select your preferred language (e.g., English) and confirm.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Play/Pause button for a few seconds.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Play/Pause button again until the screen turns off.
6.2 Recording Functions

The device supports various recording modes including voice, monitor, phone, and time-scheduled recording.
- One-Press Recording: Press the REC button to start recording immediately. Press the STOP button to save the recording.
- Voice Activated Recording (V.O.R.):
a. Navigate to the menu and enable the Voice Activated Recording function.
b. The recorder will automatically start recording when sound is detected and pause when silence occurs. - Scheduled Recording:
a. In the menu, set a specific time for the device to power on and begin recording automatically.
b. Ensure the device has sufficient battery life for the scheduled recording duration. - Telephone Recording:
a. Connect the recorder to your phone using the appropriate adapter (not included) via the LINE IN jack.
b. The device will automatically detect and record phone conversations, segmenting them as needed. - Monitoring Recording / Hearing Aid Function:
a. Connect headphones to the Headphone Jack.
b. Enable the monitoring function in the menu to listen to the audio being recorded in real-time. This can also function as a basic hearing aid.
6.3 Playback Functions

The device features a clear display and high-fidelity speakers for playback.
- Playing Recordings:
a. In DVR mode, navigate to your recorded files using the navigation buttons.
b. Press the Play/Pause button to start playback. - A-B Repeat: During playback, press the A/B Repeat button once to mark the start point (A). Press it again to mark the end point (B). The device will then loop playback between points A and B.
- Volume Control: Use the + and - buttons to adjust the volume during playback.
6.4 File Management and Security
- Deleting Files: Select the file you wish to delete and press the Delete button. Confirm your selection.
- Connecting to PC: Connect the device to your computer via the USB port. The device will appear as a removable disk, allowing you to easily transfer, copy, or delete files. Compatible with Windows 2000 & above.
- Password Protection: Access the security settings in the menu to set up a password for your device, protecting your recorded data.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

- Poor audio quality: Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Adjust the AGC noise reduction settings in the menu. Record in a quieter environment.
- Computer does not recognize the device: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port or cable. Verify your computer's operating system is Windows 2000 or above.
- Screen is frozen: Use a thin object (like a paperclip) to press the Reset button on the side of the device.
