Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the BR08. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the TYPE-C 5V charging port on the device and the other end to a 5V USB power adapter (not included).

  • A full charge takes approximately 50 minutes.
  • The device can be used while charging.

2. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the multi-function key (Phone/Play/Pause) until the indicator lights turn on.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the multi-function key until the indicator lights turn off. The device will also automatically shut down after 10 minutes if no Bluetooth device is connected.

3. Selecting Operating Mode (RX/TX)

Use the RX-TX mode switch button on the side of the device to select the desired operating mode:

  • RX Mode (Receiver): For receiving Bluetooth audio from your phone/tablet and playing it on non-Bluetooth speakers/headphones.
  • TX Mode (Transmitter): For transmitting audio from non-Bluetooth sources (TV, PC) to Bluetooth headphones/speakers.

Operating Instructions

TX Mode (Transmitter)

In TX mode, the BR08 transmits audio from a non-Bluetooth source to Bluetooth receiving devices (e.g., headphones, speakers).

  1. Switch the device to TX mode. The Bluetooth prompt light will illuminate.
  2. Connect the BR08's 3.5mm audio jack to the audio output port of your non-Bluetooth device (e.g., desktop computer, television, CD player).
  3. Ensure your Bluetooth headphones or speakers are in pairing mode.
  4. The BR08 will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth receiving devices. The Bluetooth indicator light(s) will show connection status.
  5. Once connected, audio from your source device will be transmitted to your Bluetooth headphones/speakers.

RX Mode (Receiver)

In RX mode, the BR08 receives Bluetooth audio from your phone/tablet/laptop and outputs it to a non-Bluetooth audio system (e.g., car audio, wired speakers, wired headphones).

  1. Switch the device to RX mode. The Bluetooth prompt light will illuminate.
  2. Connect the BR08's 3.5mm audio jack to the AUX input port of your non-Bluetooth audio system (e.g., amplifier speaker, car audio, Bluetooth speaker, wired headset).
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone, iPad, or laptop and search for "BR08" in the list of available devices.
  4. Select "BR08" to pair. The Bluetooth indicator light(s) will show connection status.
  5. Once connected, you can stream audio from your Bluetooth device to your connected audio system.

Connecting Two Bluetooth Devices Simultaneously

The BR08 supports connecting to two Bluetooth devices at the same time in both RX and TX modes.

  1. Connect the first Bluetooth device as described in the TX or RX mode instructions.
  2. Once the first device is connected, put the second Bluetooth device into pairing mode.
  3. On your source device (for RX mode) or the BR08 (for TX mode), search for the second device's pairing name and connect.
  4. Both Bluetooth 1 and Bluetooth 2 indicators will be lit when two devices are connected.

Hands-Free Calling (RX Mode Only)

When in RX mode and connected to a smartphone, the BR08 allows for hands-free calls using its built-in microphone.

  • Answer/Hang Up Call: Click the multi-function key (Phone/Play/Pause).
  • Reject Call: Long press the multi-function key for 2 seconds.
  • Private Answer: During a call, long press the multi-function key for 2 seconds to switch the call to your phone's speaker, then long press again to switch back to the BR08.

Maintenance

  • Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage the internal circuits.

Troubleshooting

Q: The device automatically turns off.
A: The BR08 is designed to automatically shut down after 10 minutes if no Bluetooth device is connected to conserve battery. This is normal operation. Reconnect a device or power on manually if needed.
Q: Can this device work with a TV?
A: Yes, in TX (Transmitter) mode, you can connect the BR08 to your TV's 3.5mm audio output port and transmit the TV's audio to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
Q: I can't connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
A: Ensure both devices are in pairing mode one after another. Connect the first device, then put the second device into pairing mode and search for it from the BR08 (TX mode) or your source device (RX mode).
Q: Audio quality is poor or there are disconnections.
A: Ensure the BR08 is within the 10-meter transmission range of your connected Bluetooth device and there are no significant physical obstructions. Also, check for potential interference from other wireless devices. Ensure the BR08 is fully charged.

User Tips

  • Maximize Battery Life: Remember the auto-shutdown feature. If you're not using it, it will turn off to save power.
  • Clear Pairing Records: If you experience connection issues, try clearing pairing records on both the BR08 and your Bluetooth devices, then re-pair.
  • Optimal Placement: For the best transmission distance and stability, try to keep the BR08 and connected Bluetooth devices within line of sight and away from large metal objects or other strong wireless signals.
  • Car Use: When using in a car, utilize the hands-free calling feature for safer driving.
