4. Product Overview

Front Panel:

  • USB-C: For data transfer and display output.

5. Initial Setup

Follow these steps to set up your GEEKOM Mini IT8 Mini PC:

  1. Connect Display: Connect your monitor or TV to the Mini PC using an HDMI cable or a Mini DisplayPort cable. You can also use a USB-C to display adapter if your monitor supports it.
  2. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your keyboard, mouse, and any other USB devices into the available USB 3.2 ports.
  3. Connect Network (Optional): For a wired internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port. Alternatively, you can use Wi-Fi after initial setup.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC Jack (19V) on the rear panel, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  5. Power On: Press the Power Button on the front panel to turn on the Mini PC.
  6. Initial Windows Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including language, region, network, and user account creation.

6. Operating Instructions

Power Management:

  • Turning On: Press the Power Button.
  • Shutting Down: Click the Start button in Windows, then select Power > Shut down.
  • Restarting: Click the Start button in Windows, then select Power > Restart.
  • Sleep Mode: Click the Start button in Windows, then select Power > Sleep.

Connecting to Wi-Fi:

  1. Click the Network icon in the taskbar (usually bottom right).
  2. Select your desired Wi-Fi network from the list.
  3. Enter the network security key (password) if prompted.
  4. Click "Connect".

Using Multiple Displays:

The Mini IT8 supports multiple displays via its HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, and USB-C ports. Connect your displays and configure them in Windows Display Settings (Right-click on desktop > Display settings).

7. Maintenance and Upgrades

Cleaning:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the Mini PC.
  • For dust in ventilation areas, use compressed air. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

Storage and RAM Upgrades:

The GEEKOM Mini IT8 allows for upgrades to its storage and RAM. It supports a 2.5" HDD (not included), DDR4 dual-channel RAM, and an M.2 SSD.

8. Troubleshooting
