2. Important Safety Instructions
Thank you for choosing our product. Before installation, we would like to remind you of some notes, which are very important for operating safely and properly, as follows:
- Be sure to read this user manual before starting your operation.
- You must install the dish with correct direction and angle. If the dish is not working properly, contact your local dealer.
- When the unit is suddenly moved to a hot area from a cold area, it may cause some problems. In that case, turn off the power, and turn on again after 1-2 hours.
- Keep meter placed in clean space with sufficient ventilation.
- Do not cover the meter with or place it on a unit that emits heat.
- Clean the case by a soft cloth with a little washing liquid.
- Do not remove the cover.
- Do not let the unit exposed to extreme heat, cold or humid conditions.
- No liquids or any other materials to come inside of the unit.

3.2. Charging Indicator Status
- Charging: Red light on
- Fully charged: Blue light on
4. Setup
Before operating the device, ensure all necessary cables are connected.

- Connect External Power: Ensure the device is powered on.
- Connect the Satellite Pot: Connect the LNB IN port (23) to your satellite antenna cable.
- Search for Satellite Signals: Use the device to find and lock onto satellite signals.
- Connect to TV (Optional): The device can be connected to a TV via HD OUT (27) or AV OUT (28) to display programs.
4.1. Menu OSD Instruction
If you have installed and connected the cables to the receiver, press the MENU button (12) to display the Main Menu. The main menu includes:
- Installation
- Spectrum
- Loop Search
- Calculate

4.2. Installation (Satellite Setup)
From the Main Menu, select Installation and press OK to enter the Satellite list. Use the Navigation keys (14) to move the cursor and press OK to select the desired item.
- Satellite: Select the satellite you want (a tick icon will prompt selection).
- LNB Freq: Select the LNB frequency. Pay attention to setting the correct LNB frequency.
- DiSEqC1.0: Set the port number.
- DiSEqC1.1: Set the port number.
- 22K: Turn on or off the 22 kHz switch.
- LNB Power: Set LNB power output to H (Horizontal), V (Vertical), Auto, or Off (Default is Auto).
- Motor Setup: If DiSEqC1.2 or USALS is selected, use the Navigation keys to select the IF Channel and use the number keys (15) to input the Center Frequency.
- Red Key (8): Add a new satellite.
- Green Key (9): Edit the currently selected satellite.
- Delete Key: Delete the currently selected satellite.
- Blue Key (11): Select the current satellite, enter the satellite search setting menu, and confirm the program search.
4.3. Transponder Setting
From the Installation menu, press the OK button (14) on a selected satellite to enter the Transponder setting menu. The operation method is the same as the satellite setting menu.
- Info Key (20): Press this key to enter the current Transponder signal information display interface.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Calculate
From the Main Menu, select Calculate and press OK. Use the Navigation keys (14) to select the satellite.
- Longitude: Displays the longitude of the current satellite.
- Local Longitude: Use number keys (15) to enter your local longitude.
- Local Latitude: Use number keys (15) to enter your local latitude.
- Calculate: Based on the entered latitude and longitude, the device calculates the reference data needed to install the satellite dish.
5.2. Channel
From the Main Menu, select Channel and press OK to enter the Sub menu. Here you can manage TV and Radio channels, EPG, Timer settings, Favorites, and delete all channels.
5.3. Media
From the Main Menu, select Media and press OK to enter the media menu. This function allows you to play music, view pictures, watch movies, and manage recorded TS programs.
5.4. Tools
From the Main Menu, select Tools and press OK to enter the Sub menu.
- Information: Press OK to view product information (Model, SN, H/W Version, S/W Version, Support Email, Official Forum).
- Factory Setting: Press OK to confirm factory reset. NOTE: Performing a factory reset will erase all user settings and the database.
- USB Upgrade: Insert a USB drive with the update file into the USB port (24). Navigate to the update file and press OK to initiate the upgrade. Warning: Do not power off or remove the USB drive during the upgrade process to prevent damage to the device.
- USB Backup: Backup software or database data to a USB drive.
- Record: Record TS stream directly to a USB drive.
5.5. System
From the Main Menu, select System and press OK to enter the menu list.
- Language: Change the system's default language.
- AV Setting: Enter the AV system settings options (e.g., TV System, Video, Aspect Mode, Audio).
- Local Time Setting: Configure the system time zone.
- OSD Setting: Adjust OSD (On-Screen Display) options, including turning the Beeper on/off.
- WiFi Manager: Set up WiFi connection settings.

8. Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on or behaving erratically: If the unit is moved from a cold to a hot environment, condensation may occur. Turn off the power and wait 1-2 hours before turning it on again.
- Signal issues: Ensure the satellite dish is correctly aligned and connected. Check LNB frequency settings and DiSEqC configurations in the Installation menu.
- USB Upgrade failure: Always ensure the device remains powered on and the USB drive is not removed during a software upgrade to prevent system damage.
- Cannot view videos/media: Ensure the media files are in a supported format (TS, mkv, mp4, avi, flv, f4v, ts, m2ts, mov, 3gp for video; wma, mp3 for audio; jpg, jpeg, bmp, img for photos).
9. User Tips
- Faster Charging: It is recommended to use a charger above 5V 2.4A for quicker charging times.
- Media Playback: The device supports playing various media files (music, pictures, movies) directly from a USB drive, making it versatile for content review.
- H.265 Support: The V8 Finder 2 supports H.265 decoding, which is important for newer, more efficient video compression standards.
