2. Getting Started: Setup

2.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your CHUWI AuPad Tablet using the provided Type-C charger and cable. The charging port is located on the side of the device. A full charge ensures the battery is calibrated correctly for optimal performance.

2.2 Inserting SIM and TF Cards

The AuPad supports dual Nano SIM cards for 4G LTE connectivity and a TF (MicroSD) card for expandable storage.

  1. Locate the SIM/TF card tray on the side of the tablet.
  2. Use the provided SIM ejector tool (if included) to gently push into the small hole next to the tray until it pops out.
  3. Carefully place your Nano SIM card(s) and/or TF card into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure they are correctly oriented as indicated on the tray.
  4. Gently push the tray back into the tablet until it clicks into place.

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually on the side) until the CHUWI logo appears on the screen.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until a power-off menu appears. Select "Power off" and confirm.

Upon first power-on, the tablet will guide you through the initial setup process. This typically includes:

  • Selecting your language.
  • Connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Setting up your Google account.

3.1 Basic Navigation (Android 14)

  • Back, Home, Recent Apps: Use the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen or gesture navigation (if enabled) to move between screens and apps.

3.2 Connectivity

The AuPad offers various connectivity options to keep you connected.

  • Wi-Fi: Supports 802.11b/g/n/ac on both 2.4G and 5G bands for fast internet access. Enable/disable via Quick Settings or Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
  • Bluetooth 5.0: Connect to wireless headphones, speakers, and other Bluetooth devices. Enable/disable via Quick Settings or Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth.
  • 4G LTE: With a Nano SIM card inserted, you can make phone calls and access mobile data. Ensure your plan supports the tablet's bands (GSM: B2/B3/B5/B8; WCDMA: B1/B2/B4/B5/B8; LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B17/B20/B28AB/B38/B40).
