When prompted, enter the default username and password:

    • Password: admin

You will then be directed to the router's configuration interface to set up your desired operating mode.

4. Operating Modes

The LV-WR11 supports five main operating modes:

  • Router Mode

In this mode, the device acts as a standard wireless router. It creates an instant private wireless network and shares internet access with multiple Wi-Fi devices. This is ideal for most home and small office networks, especially in hotels where you might have a wired internet connection and want to create a private Wi-Fi hotspot.

Setup: Connect the main internet source (e.g., modem) to the WAN/LAN port using an RJ45 cable. Configure internet settings (PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP) via the web interface.

  • Repeater (Relay) Mode

Repeater mode extends the coverage of an existing Wi-Fi network. It receives the wireless signal from your main router and re-broadcasts it, improving signal strength and eliminating dead zones.

Setup: Place the LV-WR11 within range of your existing Wi-Fi network. In the web interface, select Repeater mode, scan for your main Wi-Fi network, and enter its password.

  • AP (Access Point) Mode

AP mode transforms a wired network connection into a wireless one. If you have a wired internet connection but no Wi-Fi, this mode allows you to establish a new wireless network for Wi-Fi devices.

Setup: Connect the wired internet source to the WAN/LAN port. Configure the wireless network name (SSID) and password in the web interface.

  • Client Mode

Client mode allows wired devices (like smart TVs, gaming consoles, or desktop PCs without Wi-Fi capabilities) to access an existing Wi-Fi network. The LV-WR11 connects wirelessly to your main Wi-Fi network and provides internet access to a wired device connected to its LAN port.

Setup: Connect the wired device to the LAN port. In the web interface, select Client mode, scan for your main Wi-Fi network, and enter its password.

  • WISP Mode

WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) mode allows the device to connect to a wireless ISP network and share that connection with multiple devices, both wirelessly and via its LAN port. It acts as a client to the WISP and a router for your local network.

Setup: In the web interface, select WISP mode, scan for the WISP network, and configure the necessary connection details provided by your WISP.

5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your LV-WR11 Mini Router, consider the following maintenance tips:

  • Keep it Clean

Regularly wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth to prevent dust accumulation, which can affect performance and lead to overheating. Ensure ventilation holes are clear.

  • Firmware Updates

Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.

  • Proper Placement

Place the router in an open area, away from obstructions, large metal objects, and other electronic devices that might cause interference. Optimal placement ensures better signal coverage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LV-WR11 Mini Router, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power/Indicator Light Off

Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet if necessary.

  • Cannot Access Configuration Page

Verify that your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi network (SSID: "Wireless-N"). Double-check the IP address http://192.168.1.254 for typos. Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.

  • No Internet Connection

Check the physical cable connections (RJ45) if using Router, AP, or Client mode. Ensure your main internet source is working correctly. Verify the internet settings in the router's configuration page are correct for your ISP.

  • Weak Wi-Fi Signal or Limited Range

Relocate the LV-WR11 to a more central location, away from obstacles and interference sources. If in Repeater mode, ensure it's placed where it can receive a strong signal from the main router.

  • Factory Reset

If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset. With the device powered on, use a paperclip or a thin object to press and hold the 'RESET' button on the back panel for about 5-10 seconds until the indicator lights flash. The device will restart with factory default settings (SSID: "Wireless-N", Gateway: 192.168.1.254, Password: admin).
