5. Setup & Installation

5.1. DIN Rail Installation

  1. Push off the buckle on the back side of the meter.
  2. Install the meter onto a 35mm DIN rail by aligning the slot behind the meter with the rail.
  3. Buckle up the meter to fix it securely on the DIN rail.
  4. Ensure the meter is successfully installed and stable.

5.2. Current Transformer (CT) Installation

The ACR10R meter can be paired with either split-core CTs or Rogowski coils. Ensure correct polarity and secure connection for accurate measurements.

  • Split Core CT Installation: Open the CT, place the conductor through the center, and close it securely. Ensure the direction of current flow matches the CT's arrow for correct measurement.
  • Rogowski Coil Installation: Wrap the Rogowski coil around the conductor.

When the instrument is installed on site, it must correspond to the supporting open and closed transformer or Rogowski coil one by one, otherwise the measurement accuracy will be affected, and the connection between the two must be reliable.

7. Operating Instructions

  • Incorrect Readings: Double-check all CT and voltage wiring connections for correct polarity and phase sequence. Ensure the CTs are correctly installed around the conductors. Verify the meter's configuration settings match your system.
  • Communication Issues (RS485): Confirm the RS485 wiring is correct (A to A, B to B). Check the communication parameters (baud rate, address) on the meter and the connected device (e.g., inverter, gateway). Ensure termination resistors are correctly used if necessary.
  • Meter Not Responding: If the meter becomes unresponsive, try power cycling it (turn off, wait a few seconds, then turn on). If the issue persists, consult the warranty and support section.

10. User Tips

  • Data Logging: For applications requiring detailed historical data, such as measurement profiles every 15 minutes, ensure the optional data logging feature is enabled and configured. Refer to the programming interface for setup.
  • CT Selection: Always choose CTs with a current rating appropriate for your application to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
  • Anti-Reflux Function: When using the meter with an inverter for anti-reflux, ensure the RS485 communication is correctly established and configured according to both the meter and inverter manuals.
